Wildcardracing Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 i have a stock banshee, i want it to be faster than the 450's. right now when we race its close. You could go with some pipes, timing advance, filters, Thats some quick easy bolt on stuff, a good place to start. Quote
dirtfreak Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 eat fewer sandwiches and push the throttle all the way.really if it was me and it was stock,i would do pipes jets and air filter.would be a good start.14 tooth front sprocket.hole shot in second gear.if your close now that should do it.there are many things you can do after that.what ever your pocket allows. Invest in a cool head, and consider port and polish.. u'll be eating up the 4 strokes if u do that Quote

jbooker82 Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Invest in a cool head, and consider port and polish.. u'll be eating up the 4 strokes if u do that Shave the stock head for 50 bucks and use the other 200 for a port job if you already have pipes. Quote
tapout94 Posted October 11, 2008 Report Posted October 11, 2008 speeed = $$$$... but as most have already said, pipes and filter are a must, do that first. TORS removal would be smart. cool head with smaller domes will give you some added compression. pipes are going to be your most expensive if you go new, check out e bay motors and you could find some for alright prices. but do your homework... many parts/mods are ride type specific, meaning i wouldnt suggest different paddles since you run trails... just an example. ClimbAnyHill Posted October 12, 2008 Report Posted October 12, 2008 I have a guy who can port your cylinders around $200 & modify your stock stator plate to make it adjustable. You'll definately need a good open box air filter setup.. I chose K&N Pods. Flotek can milled the head and shaved the flywheel for about $25 ea.. You will require aftermarket pipes as well.. And that entire setup would be happy if you add on some VF3 Reeds! Quote
