timjz Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Hello, I'm in the final stage of my Banshee rebuild & ran into a big issue. (see pics). The tops of my 33 PWK's are hitting my T5 pipe clamps. If I spin the carb, it fits, but that can't be right. I have a Boss Intake as well. Has anyone had this issue before? Thanks in advance. Quote
278 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 I havnt heard of this happening but its good to know since after my cylinders get out of the shop I was going to run that exact set up. the only thing i can think of is use like the stock exhaust clamps Quote
timjz Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 I should say it's only the left side carb, the right side has plenty of room. Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 It looks to me that you could shim it at the pipe hanger and the stinger hanger. Get you some washers and shim it out from the bike a little bit. It kinda looks like its bent or misaligned anyway. My T5s align with the frame, it looks like yours curves inside it a bit on the left side. Ryan Quote
jbooker82 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Mine wernt that bad when I ran the exact same setup. I did have to have the carb tilted a little though. The PWK33's fit even better with my CPI's now. Looks like my carb might have set a little farther back on the pipe. Quote
