OKCterror Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I plan on having a dune/trail port work done at passions in tulsa and was wondering since i have a good top end should i pay the extra 245 and get the top end redone as well? Total price is going to be 570 then about a week to drop it and and tune it right. Going to add the adj timing plate to +4, 32's carbs, pod filters with outterware, and cant decide between the milled head or a coolhead with 22's in it. Im just wantint to make this a nice duner with good power. Will the porting take care of it with my mods listed below? Anyone had passions work before?Good/bad??? Let me know, hoping to get it all done by nov 4th when i head to glamis-Dan Quote
OKCterror Posted September 8, 2008 Author Report Posted September 8, 2008 also going to add engine ice, switch all rad hoses to clear ones, i need seious advice when it comes to this. My top end is good and fresh so if i can spare the money i want to. That extra 200 can go to the coolhead. Also to any passions customers, do i take by bike there and they remove and install, or do i take the juggs up there? Quote

I would go with the noss head with the 20s or 21 domes I think you would be ok on pump gas where your at with 20s, and yes passion is one of the good guys. But when I get mine done it will be by Herr Juggs. Quote
sinisterboo Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I would go with 20cc domes myself, just cause the portwork is gonna drop the compression a little, and I am in tulsa also, and would love to meet this "passion" guy. Quote
OKCterror Posted September 8, 2008 Author Report Posted September 8, 2008 anyone know much shipping is to hj Quote
bansheesickness Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 i would ditch the clear radiator hoses, niothin but problems. i bought 2 sets out of rockymountain atv and within a year both sets failed. they would split and crack at the hose clamp. i was out on the dunes and fourtunaly i had the stockers stll, so i ran back to camp and have been running them since. that just my 2 cents. bansheesickness Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 i would guess 25 bucks, i wraped my juggs in bubble wrap real good and stuck em in a box. http://www.herrjugsracing.com/ Quote
dragbanshee Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 When you do ship them make sure you have plenty of padding between the box sides and the juggs, PLENTY! Quote
98_banshee_newbie Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I have been talking to kevin at herr racing about getting mine ported but I am gonna wait until the end of the season. I have heard of all good things about him and I trust him. Quote
LS1Inferno Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 everything looks good with the port except you may want a different set of pipes then the fattys. Quote
OKCterror Posted September 8, 2008 Author Report Posted September 8, 2008 i was going to go with cpi's in frame drags. Gonna get the head off today and then the jugs and check out the top end. Ill go from there Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Call Kevin and talk to him. I had one season on my topend when I sent my jugs to him and they only needed a hone. I bought new pistons, but then again they already had a season on them. You may not need a bore is what I'm trying to say, however you may want to get some fresh pistons, just talk to Kevin. As far as the domes, my port job dropped my compression by 25-30lbs, no shit. I'm not sure if thats common or not, but thats what mine did after the port work. I only have 165lbs with 17cc domes, so you may want to get you some 20s. He said to run at least 160lbs. Just call him. Ryan Quote
OKCterror Posted September 8, 2008 Author Report Posted September 8, 2008 im calling both passions and hj today and see what they both say Quote
05.Banshee.SE Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I plan on sending mine to Kevin to have the top end done, and probably an aggressive trail port, once I have the money. It's my first rebuild, but I trust him. Quote
