A 421 Cheetah and...Its big brother is on the way.

It sure is but as you can see his Banshee was already done from bottom to top and the paint job was pretty much the last thing he did.Go for engine and handling mods and then you can worry about looks.

Id say most of the flat spots are indeed ready to be buffed youd just have to work a little on the tigh ones. Man if she agreed to help you on this she is definitely a keeper...

Justintoxicated you must be a really patient guy, sanding those by hand is quite a task... From what i see in your pics if you ever decide to polish them cylinders you wont have much sanding left to do, in fact i see parts that are ready to be buffed.

More no but worth your while yes.They are not drag racing only cylinders you can have them set up anyway you want.

You cant use your coolhead with them, the Cheetah top end comes complete with the head,pistons etc...

I have been using 2000 series mixed at 50:1 for 3 years now, good stuff.

l3anshee_99 listen to those guys and spend your cash on suspension mods, the Cheetah engine is a waste of money if you are building an MX Banshee.

It had been a while since i bothered to read this post it was worthless at first...But now it sure brings up good ol memories RUNMYTA,Quick...Quick still spreads his BS on Planetsand although hes been pretty reasonnable for the last couple of weeks...This is what being banned at one point or another from pretty much all ATV websites will do to you...It wont last though. As for the "heavy hitters" if you mean engine builders, except for a very very few they have been chased from every known ATV forums by know it all smartasses...Our loss if you ask me but you didnt so.

We should make a list of people that needs to be avoided at all costs and ask Lee to make a stick post out of it in the For sale forums.Personnally i havent really had any bad experiences dealing with HQ members but its probably just a matter of time before it happens.

crf450s are barely faster than CR250s in fact i have seen races go both ways,pretty much depends on the riders same with the YZF 450s.

I have been racing vs stock dirt bikes 250cc two strokes and 426-450s 4 strokes for a couple of years now and if you race them in poor traction conditions like loose sand they are not exactly fast.Since they top out at around 80mph (pretty much the same as a piped Banshee) in loose sand a Banshee with all the regular bolt ons and a good set of tires will give those dirt bikes a run for their money and in some cases beat them.Now hold this same race on pavement and the dirt bikes will easily win... From my own experience in good traction conditions a Banshee absolutely needs to have been ported to run with a dirtbike, the bolt ons wont cut it.Now saying a Banshee cant take a dirt bike no matter what aint true at all,at the time i was running a 400cc T-REX top end i could take all of them no matter what the conditions were.I will spare you the details but the 421 Cheetah engine i am running now just kicks their asses so hard that none of them will race me anymore...

The makeover took place last winter, before that it had Yamaha blue plastics.I think you are referring to Meat's Banshee when you talk about the yellow and black one. It will look a little bit different comes next spring but not too much,i am adding a longer swing-arm and of course the engine is completely polished now.
