  1. You can get used motorcycle prices at http://www.kbb.com. Click on Motorcycles. -Bill
  2. Hmm... midnight Eastern time. That's either a big special celebration event or an attempt at keeping the people in the East in the dark till morning. How many East Coaster's are going to stay up that late? On-the-other-hand how many West Coaster's are going to stay up that late? Anyone know if any media is covering it? -Bill
  3. Now I remember why I bought a new Banshee instead of a used one. I'm thinking that poor Banshee found the new owner it desparately needed! I would need a lot of help to fix all that stuff. Before recommending an a$$ kicking I'd have to hear the other side of the story, but if he did it on purpose he will get it back soon enough.
  4. I believe him! In fact, I bet it will do 0-96 mph in less than 5 seconds if you drop it from 450-475 feet in a vacuum! -Bill
  5. So if your kid asks why this guy has a funny name you can say, "He was named after a movie". What, then, do you say when the innocent child asks why the movie was called that? "Oh, sweetie it was a documentary about a lady with a rare gastrointestinal disorder."
  6. I believe this is the official Illinois driver's education publication: http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/publicat.../dsd_a11211.pdf Page 9 talks about age restrictions. -Bill
  7. Hmm..It was predicted to be bad, but I am pretty sure we didn't get any rain here last night. I am in West Saint Louis County. It definately has the makings of a hot and sunny day so far. It is almost always muddy there anyway. The 4x4 guys love it! Have you been to Deepwater this year? Truman Lake makes a nice background for pictures there (lake level dependent).
  8. Excellent! The Q'Zilla is another neat machine to shoot because there aren't many of them around - especially in good condition!
  9. ^^^^ Pretty much says it... anyone going to Finger Lakes or Saint Joe State Park tomorrow? I'm just looking to take some high-quality photos of some Banshee's in action. The photos will be posted here afterward. I think it might rain tonight...
  10. I learned something tonight and wanted to share: Ever noticed how when you turn your Banshee sharp the inside wheel turns sharper or if that isn't the correct term then let's just call it "differently"? I think the correct term might be "toe-in" or "toe-out"... whatever. I don't do toes... Well the official term for this is "Ackerman Principle". Now you know... I'm sure some of you knew that. But I know all of you didn't... If anyone wants to know more do a Google search on the term.
  11. Usually Hannity and Colms are on different sides of an issue. This is the first time I've ever seen both political parties tag team each other to kick some ass.
  12. Yes, and that would mean all you can think about is nailing everything in sight!
  13. It is all very worth the fun it will give you! Ask yourself, "What do you work hard for?". Back when everyone was griping about fuel prices I noted that you have to enjoy life a little or it'll be gone before you know (Ferris Bueller; 1986). For the teenagers on here, 1986 came a few years before 1990. -Bill
  14. Keep trying. It isn't working... Once you succeed, and I'm sure you will, the moderators will probably move it to the images section. -Bill
  15. One thing I learned after trading my 'Shee for a waverunner is how to check lake and river levels before going anywhere. Use the site below to check the level of Keystone Lake. You'll have to figure out what level exposes the riding area you are talking about. http://www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/KEYS.lakepage.html The parent page shows you more of your area: http://www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/ -Bill
  16. If you find yourself on I-70 you owe it to yourself to check out Finger Lakes State Park. Even if you don't unload and ride it is so close to the Interstate it is worth driving through for visual consideration. From I-70 take exit 128A (Highway 63) North about 10 miles and right on Peabody road. Highway 63 is a nice new four-lane with little congestion and a 70 mph speed limit making the detour quick and painless. Be careful you do not pass up the Peabody road exit. About 65 miles of hard packed hill climbs and moist-to-muddy trails. Admission is $3 per ATV. Helmets are required. Flags are not and will get destroyed by tree limbs - so take it off. Officially noise limits and state stickers are checked, but I've never heard of it in practice. Stay off the paved roads except the road to the track. The park is shared with environmental types who will report you to the rangers and you will get a ticket. The official state web site is here: http://www.mostateparks.com/fingerlakes.htm Here are some more pictures of Finger Lakes: -Bill
  17. Pretty sweet. I wonder what the horsepower and torque output is?
  18. Please look carefully at the "Policies, Rules and Legal Mumbo" before entering into this agreement. Pay particular attention to the wording of the payment clause. It sounds to me like your paycheck resets every month. You need to earn $50 in the previous month to get paid. This is virtually impossible (you'll need two other people willing to work for free) under the terms described and if you do it is less than the Federal minimum wage for one person let alone two or more. Keep in mind they determine what qualifies as a "unique search" for payment and they in their sole discretion can change the minimum internal between searches. At 15 second intervals it will take three people ten minutes every day of the previous month to earn the $50. That's $1.60 per hour for each of you. Also of interest is the last paragraph where they tell you to just delete all the junk mail they are going to send you. This clause seems to be in conflict with the Federal "Can SPAM" act of 2004 unless you can "opt out" from future messages. -Bill
  19. That is not nearly as pointless as this one... http://www.platinumgrit.com/pokethebunny.htm -Bill
  20. I agree wholeheartedly! According to the doctors I am writing this because of the safety gear - specifically a helmet and chest protector. Two years ago I broke my back in four places and was raced to the trauma center. Not my idea of fun. The bruises and bones mostly healed. I still have some nerve damage, but the memories of that day persist. I tried to ride again, but just couldn't so I traded her for a waverunner last year. I hang out here because I like the type of people who ride Banshee's. I just don't have the guts to be one any more. -Bill
  21. No sympathy here. Now be a real buddy and tell him to stay off the highways, wear a helmet and trade that damn DS650 for a 'Shee.
  22. Took the words right out of my mouth! Plus a lot of people need to finance their toys. -Bill
  23. Both pretty funny! I just want to know where they found TWO farmers in South Texas with traditional American names.
  24. Hey Joe - they are everywhere in Saint Louis, but you have to like onions. I think you can get them in grocery stores to. As for the movie I suggest everyone submit their age along with their review and we'll develop a grander picture of the movie. -Bill
