Can I get a set too, I’ve got a port job on some meathead polished cylinders that they’d go great with! -
Looking to get my ‘shee going again I have a set of cylinders that I got done on here by passion racing with a strong woods port, but my bottom end has seen better days and I don’t trust putting a really good top end on it. Im either looking for a complete engine that is built that I can do a little dragging with but is still rideable, or a bottom end That will hold up to putting my fresh cylinders on. Thanks, and I’m digging the freshness of the site, it’s been a while since I’ve been on!

yeah....got done half my route.....had to bring the truck back to the yard cause it was smoking so bad and making me nautious......grab a spare truck and go finish the rest of my route..... Trucks gonna be down for a while....back to having no radio again....maybe I'll go to wal-mart and get one of those 5 dollar jobbies to keep me from going insane

cant complain...actually I can.....blew the engine up in my work truck today....

Hey, How's it going?

I'm just pissed off that it's been raining here for like the last month and any day that its not raining that I would get a chance to ride I have other things that need to get taken care of. I finally got to wash my shee from riding it over a month ago yesterday and ripped up and down the street a few times with it. Damn.....it even felt good to just sit on it. My s-10 with the 350 is (a power wire to the fuel pump, alternator wiring, and coolant) away from running and I havent even been able to do that. If I hear one story about a drought this year on the news I think I might just have to get hostile.

Mine used to never do it at all and I've played in the best of swamp water laying everywhere areas for hours. Then the last 2 times I've ridden around like that I'd hit the water (2ft) hard enough to splash pretty good and coming out of the water a second later I'd give it pretty good throttle and it would stick every time. I was recreating it that way. It was in early spring and not incredibly cold out but the water was pretty cold. I'm thinking the water hitting the carbs made them contract a tiny bit and held the slides up. They could probably use a little bit of cleaning as well. I had a stretch ahead and I'd let it rev and it would rev for about 100 yards and then stop.

I'm not trying to argue that you wont lose power running to high an octane than what you need. That's saying you are running a fuel with the same characteristics. Example being VP Red and C12. My bike runs better with the VP Red then the C12. Racing fuel is a much cleaner fuel then pump gas is and thats why I think my buddies 250R runs better on race gas then the pump gas. I was just saying that its something else to think about. I know when I do a plug check with regular gas I'll have enough carbon buildup on the plug edge to do a good wot run in about a half hour of riding but with race gas it's pretty hard to get a good wot run because of the lack of any kind of carbon build up from the impurities in the fuel.
-
you also have to remember that a pump gas will have more contaminants and wont be as pure as race gas. In my buddy's 250R 3wheeler on regular pump gas it will lose to me every time and when he puts race gas in it, it will beat me almost every time. It's definitely faster with the race gas in it. If you can find the right octane race fuel compared to what your compression is, you'd be the best off. If you can run 100 octane race fuel in your shee without preignition it'd be better off then running 108 or 112 but I would think that running 108 or 112 would be better off then running pump gas because of the purity of the race fuel. Not to mention it will drop faster then regular pump gas. Just something else to think about

Dec. 12th 2001.....walked into the dealership and shee was sitting there. The 2002's were out and she was a leftover that came from a different dealership. I turned around and ran to the bank and pulled out cash. Got her for 5300 and some change out the door. Best purchase I ever made. I wanted to get one for a while cause I was getting tired of getting left behind by my buddies with shee's and 250R's and raptors and they didnt ever really believe me..... Showed up at my buddies door with it and we went riding. It started to flurry out, It was such a beautiful day. Later, Abyss

I love going to the drags and being in the pits when they kick the Nitro in when they're warming them up. Dont ever stand down wind. It's great fun watching from the upwind side of all the people scrambling. Happened to me once.....I learned my lesson.

I just think they are funny. Why do you think they can protest? Because of wars that we went to in the past for their freedom. So they protest and protest against something that gave them the ability to be able to protest in the first place. Kinda ironic huh? Take it easy, Abyss

Yup....from a state trooper the other day.....I ripped up to my buddies place that includes going under the turnpike across a road through a field, across a road, through a field and then rip up the road to his house. Had time to kill so we drank a few beers and get back on my shee and start ripping down the road and wouldnt you know it....state trooper coming the other way.... I go ripping down the road into the field and am about 3/4 of the way across the field and look back to see him with his lights on seeing where I'm going. I rip down to the road I cross and here he comes ripping down that road....rip through the next field and he's trying to beat me to the next road to cut me off.....rip across that road and down the little trail to the turnpike tunnel that a creek runs through to get to the other side......he would've had to turn around, go all the way back up to the bridge....all the way down to the next road and work his way back trying to find me......by then I was longgggggg gone. The funny thing about it is that it says in the state law that I'm allowed to go on public roads for short distances to get from one path to the next. I wasnt gonna talk it over with him though. How long do you spend on the HQ???
Mighty_Abyss replied to bansheeboy757's topic in General Banshee Discussion
what was this post about? Oh yeah.....I'm on here usually until my g/f kicks me off. Yeah.....I guess I'm a little whipped.....but when you ignore them for hours reading posts they tend to get a little pissy and it ends up being a boring night. Abyss -
Are the 28mm carbs worth adding to the banshee
Mighty_Abyss replied to chase73's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If you got all the work done and you're not all about dragging go with 28's taperbored out to 30. Anything more or anything less in non drag engines will produce less hp. Take it easy, Abyss -
I'm from Philly so.....its pretty much a given with who i'm rooting for Take it easy, Abyss

I used to ride in Coal Strippens with a K&N and have gone through a few of them. New or used every time I took the filter off afterward there was coal dust in my intake tract. (It was on my blaster) I'd say it all depends on your riding conditions. If you ride in a lot of dusty or wet conditions i'd go with the foam. But if you ride in conditions that arent that incredibly dusty, or in the sand, or something to that degree, go with the K&N with an outerwear. Keep this in mind too The difference between the 2 is between 1/2 hp and 1hp I trust the foam a lot more and the extra hp isnt that important to me But 1hp on a fourwheeler is noticeable. What type of riding do you do?
Mighty_Abyss replied to WickedBanshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
i ride basically anything you can throw at me. From dirt back roads, to trails of all sorts, to the coal mine pits of hazleton and such, to the sand pits of New Jersey. Hill climbs, trails, open roads,.......nothin beats when you gotta get on a main road for a minute and have to pass a car or two to get to your next road  Take it easy Abyss -
I got the PRM skid and rode it up at Tower City and hit some major stuff and the skid held up well. It protects the shock linkage and is just a beast. I believe the armadillo also protects the shock linkage and with the .25 thickness i'm sure it does as well or even better. If your not worried about the weight to much i'd go with one of those 2. Theres a lot more banshees out there than 68/69 camaros.....I say go for the camaro. Its one of the baddest muscle cars to ever be built. Unless its a stock type show car, you can do soooo much to them to make them badass. I've seen some fast banshees but i've seen some faster camaro's. Just my .02 cents Take it easy, Abyss
