  1. looks like I found a chart at Sudco - it's a 33mm. Thanks guy's Norm
  2. I figure it's either a 33 or 35 mm as it was in a trinity stage 1V kit but I need to know which it is. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLPPP thanks Norm
  3. I have 44 inch TSL Super Swampers on my FJ40 Land Cruiser so Bigtreads just seemed natural
  4. Ya I did find it strange. The tabs on my grab bar didn't stick out far enough - like about a inch between the two. Oh well no biggie
  5. yep I bought one. It shipped quick and looked great. I did have to make a bracket to fit it in place of the old stock light as the mount tabs were to wide. I have also found that the led's are kinda on the dull side as compared to really bright but I still think it was worth what I payed. Norm
  6. so am I asking for trouble with a 35 - I'm bidding on one at the moment.
  7. don't want to get the wrong set up
  8. not saying you did anything wrong but how did you take your comp. readings. I screwed mine up the first time I did mine by not holding the throttle wide open which gave me inconsistent readings. I have 21cc domes at about 1000 feet above sea level and got 162lbs both sides. What level are you at ? I also run Motul -seems to be providing a excellent wear rate
  9. thanks for the reply yes I ride trails etc. 95 % of the time but I do head to the dunes as well. I just don't want to short change myself on power if I don't have to.
  10. OK so I'm going to hunt down a single carb kit and see if I like the results - so can I get away with the 33PWK or should I hold out for a 35PWK. I have no porting with PTR mids / reeds and cages a +4 degree key NOS head with 21cc domes and a K+N filter. There seems to be alot more 33's that come up on ebay so mabe there is a reason ???? thanks for the advise Norm
  11. I know nothing about them. I was told you could just buy a small cam from Radio Shack and velcro it to my helmet with a wire running to my digital cam in a backpack ?? Is it really that easy. Will the picture suck ??? Clueless minds want to know
  12. check my best bang for buck carb post in the mods section.
  13. hey man you gotta list your motor mods so I can compare - check my best bang for buck carbs post in the mods section. Thanks
  14. yep I'll keep you posted but same goes for you if you try a 2 into 1 before me
  15. Im from southern B.C. Canada - Kelowna to be exact. The area here is mostly dry clay/gravel/dirt and because our summers are roasting hot and we don't get much rain the ground get's pretty loose and powdery. We also take at least 1 trip to the Oregon dunes each year to play. I think im going to hold off on the carbs as well as porting for another year and just try the Vito's super stock pistons. See It pays to ask those who know
  16. oh you guy's are sooooooooooo careing - especialy if there's beer on the line make you all a deal come up here for a ride and I'll buy. I think for now I'll get the cable and wait for a hot deal to come along on a single setup .Thanks for the help guys. Norm
  17. freaken computer . ..... . . ... ...... keep the advise flowing a new cable is much cheaper than a set of new carbs
  18. well part of my reason for trying a different carb setup is mine have some wear and the cables are shot. So if I have to replace the cables I gotta decide bettween the single carb or the duals. So if the 28's don't make much difference does the 30's ? Getting parts here is a pain so I mostly Ebay - there just happens to be some 30's on there at the moment so I was wondering. I like the idea of changing jet's easy - which was why I was leaning tward the single but apparently it's nearly as easy with the PWK's ??? thanks Norm

  21. cruising ebay there seems to be alot of choices so I need some help figuring which will work best for me. My motor has PTR mid pipes piramid reeds/cages a 4 degree timing key Noss head with 21cc domes K&n filter with a drilled airbox lid. Stck carbs are currently jetted at 310's. I have no porting but by spring will have vitos pistons that give the effect of a light port job. I'm leaning tward a single carb but if I can get more action out of a set of duals I will do it. Any real world help greatly appreiciated. yes my 8 year old can spell better than me
  22. ok I'll chime in here. I drive a 77 Land Cruiser FJ 40 fiberglass body with a 383 stroker chevy on board air etc etc and 44" TSL Super Swampers. The wifes ride is a 2003 F350 power stroke diesle crew cab. Slowly being built in the garage is a fiberglass VW based dune-buggy with a 1835 and 40 webbers cam heads and headers.
  23. my father has a 6.0 gas engine in his 3/4 ton GM. I was raised in GM vehicles and I like them. That said I would only put the 6.o chevy as an ok motor - at least as it is from the factory without any goodies. I bought a 1ton crew cab 6.0powerstroke Ford - holy crap has diesle in small trucks come a long way. My truck that has to weigh more than my dads and the Ford will totaly wax the GM in any situation - and thats with 35" tires on mine. I won't put down the GM altogether but in my oppinion if you can strech for the diesle -any of the big three go for it. By the way it's the 6.0 Ford motor which is the newest of the 3 diesle motors.
  24. just chiming my 2 cents - mine does the same thing and always has. I've done everything that has been sugested here including the die electric grease to all the electrical etc. It really sucks cause as soon as there is puddles I'm screwed and gotta call it a day. I sure would like to fix this problem.Norm
