Keihin Differences ? Air Stryker - Huh ?
bigtreads replied to bigtreads's topic in General Banshee Discussion
thanks guys I figured it would be something like that -
Ok according to a chart at the Sudco site I have a PWK 35 Air Stryker - So what the heck is the difference ???
-
I don't know if it's an A/S or not - how do you tell. I've figured out that it is a PWK 35 and not a 36 as I was told when I bought it.

right now I have a non ported, PTR MIDS ,PTR reeds and cages , degree key, NOSS head - comp at 163 , K&N with bag , cut airbox lid, with normal summer jetting at 290's. I just got a PWK Keihin with Graydon single manifold with a K&N that I plan to run in a aftermarket airbox - lid debateable. Any thoughts would be super helpfull. Oh ya I ride from 1000 feet to 3500 feet if that makes a difference to anyone.

I'm trying to find out if there is such a thing as a paddle tire for a 13 inch dirt bike rim . We are going to the dunes in april and a family friends son has a honda 100 and wants to play on the sand. Basicly I'm looking for any and all advise. So far I haven't been able to find one online and since we live north of the border thats about the only way I have to find one. thanks Norm

oh ya here's a tip - be sure to cut the "right metal band" and not beat and hammer and swear and grind the crap out of the metal end cap that keeps the dirt out of the swing arm pivot bearings. Yes I am a idiot and I don't think I've been that mad at a inanimate object in quite some time

Bought 200 Watt Stator Now Which Lights ?
bigtreads replied to bigtreads's topic in General Banshee Discussion
thanks for the pictures that looks like an easy way to mount the lights. I think I will use a combination of those and some 1/2" rod to make a cage like the ricky stator system. -
UPS charges their own brokerage fees which usualy add up to 58$CAD or more on top of the shipping. Obviously the cost of shipping will be determined by the mode air/ground and the size and weight. I try to have anything shipped USPS as they don't have their own bizzare brokeage/duty fee's and seem to get stuff here (B.C.)almost as fast. Still with Ebay and the internet it's way cheaper than the stealership.

Looks great. So do you have to get a different regulator ? I have no idea if a non stock one comes with the stator I bid on cause it isn't here yet. why did you go with a 55 and a 100 watt rather than both 100's - just so the stator isn't working so hard or lighting pattern ??? Oh ya like your avitar to -

do you have a bigger picture of those head lights -
I bought a stator and lights off ebay. the thing is I don't think I like the square lights that were part of the auction. I do like the big ass dessert racing lights like on Rick Stators web page etc. but I'm afraid that if I bite it the mega $ lights will get trashed - not to mention if you park lights of that size in front of the rad it's got to effect cooling. So what do you all recomend that puts out huge light. It's a 200 watt stator so I have to work within that range of power.

If I understand you right you are talking about the choke tube. It (the carb bowl with the brass tube in it) should go on the carb with the choke pull handle. If you swap your bowls you will find your choke does nothing. On a side note both of my bowls have the tube in them but my last machine didn't - weird

thanks Wallrat that's what I want to hear - I'm gonna order a 15 tooth tomorrow-nice avitar by the way got that in full size? spoin - I'm stuck with these for the next trip so I just want to get the best out of them thanks though -
I just aquired a set of 8 paddle haulers that are 18" tall. Will the small size cause problems bottoming out while play riding ??? I used to have 20x11x10 sand skate 2's - so in order to compensate for the smaller tire what size should I go on the countershaft sprocket. I was running a 14 tooth. My motor has basicly every bolt on (midrange pipes) but no porting. I don't live anywhere near the sand so I'm trying to plan things out a bit for our dune trip at Easter. Thanks for the help
