  1. I'll wait till Honda puts out their 450 then I'll decide which one to buy..... Saying the Yamaha will waste the Honda is just plain ignorant... Especially since the Honda motor is less complicated (no freakin 5 valves), puts out more horsepower, and there has been little to no problems with it (and its the first year it's been out!)...
  2. Well obviously you know nothing about the history of ATV's.. Remember that little thing called a Three Wheeler.... Well Honda took the brunt of the lawsuits on that one which Yamaha didn't have to pay a dime. Thus the reason 250r's are no longer made. We'll see when they come out. I have never had to work on any of my 250r's as much as I have to work on my banshee. Although I like riding the banshee better. The Honda's just hold up better. Ohh I own a 1999 400ex and I have Never touched the friggen thing. I stand by my word that those are the most "Bullet Proof" bikes made!!!!!
  3. I too agree that each one has problems. I just feel that Honda spends more time with the little details than yamaha. We can all say the susucki and kawasucki both spend little time with details. Just look at the quadzilla and the techati (or however you spell that damn thing). Honda is due, I am just saying that I am not going to put my money on Yamaha until I see what Honda comes out with. I desperatley want a decent 4 stroke quad (not to replace the banshee of course) that will outperform most of the other 4 strokes out there. Right now the Craptor has too many flaws for me. Ohh and I wouldn't believe all of the Hype you read in the magazines about ATV reviews. I recall that in the ATV action in 2002, they stated that the new Z400 was going to be the fastest four stroke on the land. (this was before the bike actually went retail) We all know the true story about that....... Susucki as always............................... PS I am in no means flaming Yamaha. I just wouldn't bet on them if my life depended on it!
  4. I do own a banshee..... But I have ALWAYS been a Honda fan. Yamaha has never produced a motorcross bike or wheeler without flaws. Hell we are all still pissed off about non-rebuildable crank shafts, TORS, and among other things. Yamaha did get the YZ250 and YZ125 right after 20 years. Honda comes out with something new and it is perfect out of the box. Examples: 400ex (Perfect bike about 4-5 years ago... Now just lacking on power) YZ426 (new 5 valve four stroke. When it first came out it was spinning mains like crazy, Not to mention the tranny problems among other things) CR250 aluminum frame. Perfect the first time, They havn't had to change anything. CR450F Perfect the first time. No problems ever reported and more power than the Yamaha. Not to take anything away from Yamaha. I just feel that Honda has got an edge on them when it comes to a complete bike. I guarantee that the cr450F will waste the Yamaha 450. Hell the motorcross bike already has and they are basically the same engine.. Just ad a dampener
  5. you'd be stupid to buy the yamaha! Honda will have their's out within a year and that one will spank the Yamaha. The Honda engine has the most horsepower in motocross, and you know Honda will pay attention to all the little details where Yamaha likes to overlook things!
  6. I prefer the K&N clamp on with the lid removed. Only because you can use it for everything!! Mud, Snow, Sand. It keeps water from splasing up against the filter. I dont like the clampons (tampons!) or the 2 into 1 because they are more exposed to exhaust heat, water, dirt ect. I highly doubt that the K&N clampons would outflow a K&N with a pro flow adapter. Atleast not enough to really worry about. Just my opinion of course!
  7. If you still have the thumb throttle pieces all you have to do is hook it up and use the same cable. More or less with the thumb hook up it is the same as a TORS removal kit!
