The few times I've dragged on pavement, I have to tea bag the bars and keep the foot literally on top of the foot brake in case it comes up. If you can, feather the shit outta the clutch, but be careful, as you don't want to burn your clutch plates, or friction weld the push rod and ball that operates your clutch.
You might want to start in second as well...dunno...you spend a little bit of time shifting, and you aren't accelerating.
