  1. i wouldnt worry about it even if you are ported. my brother ran his stock crank for a long time very hard with no problems. wait till it breaks then go stroker.
  2. i agree id go with what loco says.
  3. ohton racing has them for quick shipping i believe.
  4. toomey for sure.
  5. i wouldnt get shearers. they are a very peaky pipe aimed almost strictly for dragging. i would run rockets. they seem to have more bottom end than cpi and will match if not beat cpi on top.
  6. i never buy kits cuz i dont ever use hardly anything out of them. it depends on what all you need. is all your stuff stock? who is building this engine? do you have a builder? they should be able to get you what you need. and you do know that you cant just throw the 4mm longrod crank in and go. youll either need a spacer plate, which i dont recommend or youll need stroker domes.
  7. you need to pull your cylinders pff and take a look at them. theres prolly more breakage in there than youre seeing. bore is gonna depend on how fucked up your cylinders are. do you have a local shop that can do the work for you? need to let them look at it and decide what size youll need to go to. sounds to me like you were jetted a little lean. also is this stuff stock? my bros stock 04 shit all broke apart kinda like you are describing.
  8. jinx44 will hopefully have some sheets soon. i dont trust a and s's dyno. i have heard from several ppl that it reads very high.
  9. i used to use a pipe wrench to tighten mine. i would tighten the first one down tight, then the second one down tight, then tighten the two against each other. they never came apart like that and i never fucked with any torque specs. now i have a dlnoss lock nut and dont have any problems with it..
  10. thats alot of fuckin gas to be leaking into your cylinders if thats what the problem is. you better get that shit checked out.
  11. sounds like an inside job. they had to have known you were gone...
  12. yea man youll be fine. go for the banshee.
  13. for the fun of it i emailed ohton racing to check availability. he said he could have them ported and plated to me in less than a week. they must not have an issue with availibility or something.
  14. the blaster pistons and the 795 series are essentially the same thing. what happens is that you use 795 for the long rod crank. once you get to .60 overbore wiseco stops making the 795 series pistons then you have to go to wiseco blaster pistons where they go up higher than .60 overbore. for the standard length rod youll use regular wiseco pistons made for any stock stroke banshee.
  15. yea so what? i stroke all the time no big deal right?
  16. its just a simple oil breather tube but the real question is why its coming up out of there. im assuming some type of air is getting in there and forcing it out. i would say its gotta be the crank seal like yamahammer was talking about. thats about the only way that air could be forcing the oil out.
  17. good man. good to know youll tak care of stuff if something goes wrong
  18. im sure there are alot of ppl that can help you over at www.planetsand.com
  19. haha thats pretty good.
  20. cant remember the last time i lubed my chain.
  21. i think it was around 500 bucks for gauges, pillar and install. might be a little high but it was well worth it to me. i can see where they were working and routing shit and i wouldnt want any part of it. plus if something goes wrong theyll have to fix it. i had a problem with mine and took it back in and they fixed it on the spot. its kinda like a warranty and to me saving a few extra bucks isnt worth it.
  22. first off i would get the main dialed in. do a wide open plug test and see what the plug looks like then adjust accordingly. the midrange bog you are talking about is prolly caused by the needle. after you get the main i would get the pilot dialed in. when its idling you dont want it to load up which means it rich or rev by itself which is lean. once you get those dialed in then adjust for your midrange.
  23. im still waiting on some dyno sheets too. im still very skeptical of them. i think most people with them are going to be duning or drag racing mainly. i dont think they were really set up for playin around or trailriding, however im sure someone will be doing that with them.
