Not true at all. Brand new OEM pressure plates are like $30. I would skip on the OEM basket and go straight for the Magnum and never buy one again. They run about $150.

Your clutch is only as good as the parts around it. If your basket is grooved and pressure plate is worn no clutch is going to last long.
