Yes. The aluminum ones don't work! That's what blew apart at the BansheeHQ ride this year. I know Redline has the heavy duty backing plates. He also recommends upgrading to bigger screws. They warp from heat and the cushions pushing against them. I'd just call Redline and get the good stuff.

If you're planning to use them for anything other than straight line racing you're wasting your time. Once you cut them, all of the side to side grip is going to be gone. They're not any good for trails once you cut them. That said, I use a sawzall with a course wood blade. Then I go back with a box knife and trim any excess. Also, Ambush are 4 ply and are very thin.. I cut through the tire on the first one I did. You have to be really careful.

Yes. Mine has an upgraded processor and camera. It's not that hard to do. It's a quad core intel amd processor with 15mp camera and 1080 hd video card.

Nice work. There's a few more things you can clean up if you want. Are you running OEM plastic or aftermarket? I always cut those ears off the steering stem at the top.
