Mikuni carbs are junk.
PWK are the best/easiest carbs to use

Check compression. I bet it’s low. If it’s 110 or lower it’s time for a rebuild.

Sounds like the best guys in your area, need some clues.

Going off what the mechanic says, thinking of doing a choke cable.
He said it won't work and they are fmf fatty pipes.

Your mechanic is clueless.

The bike is still with him, he said it might take a while to get it figured out so im thinking maybe a month or 2. He assembled the motor in the bike, I will check to make sure the stingers arn't backwards when I get it back. He did put some spacer on one of the front exhaust hangers so that the pipe would clear the top of the cool head, maybe the spacers are bending that part in a weird angle? If I can't get the pipe to clear I'll order some Cascade exhaust heat wraps to see if it will keep it from melting the filters again.
I don't know anything about motor building but I will ask my regular mechanic they know how to do the UCCR test. When I picked up my bike last time he said the 32 domes are 12.5 to 1 compression. I think I will be able to manage the squish test.
I already spent a bunch of money with him building this motor, I'm hoping he can get it figured out so I won't have to spend more sending it out, but I might have to at the end of the day.
TBH, it's ridiculous he's making you wait on fixing his issue. Busy or not, you should be a priority.
I might get flamed for saying this, but HJR has always seemed to be a 3rd rate builder.

Here’s the deal - My neighbor has a basically stock 1998 Banshee all except a complete Bills exhaust system and I recently installed a Pro Design Pro Flow K&N filter kit to replace the oem filter setup because the filter was totally shot. Now the biggest problem is the pipes are shot. They are rusty and pitted and he tried to wire wheel the rust off and now that the rust is off there’s hundreds of pin holes now. So he’s shopping for a new complete exhaust system but he can’t decide on which brand to get. He said that his budget is roughly a $1,000 give or take. He rides his Banshee with me and the riding condition is some fast trail riding and open sand/gravel quarry with a couple hill climbs. I told him about all the brands that are out there and I told him that I would get him some more opinions about it. So please post your opinions.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah he said he ran it. I dropped it back off to him yesterday morning he said he was going to look into it but may take a while to get it figured out. Ill look into the UCCR and squish test if it is still not running right when I get it back.
On a side note, do you guys have any suggestion on how I can get my intake to clear the exhaust. I tried putting header wrap on the exhaust to prevent it from melting but that didn't work as planned.
Send it off to someone else. Did he assemble the the motor in the bike? Check to make sure your stingers aren't backwards (wrong sides). They should be THAT close to the filters.

Speaking of RRL, figured this'd bring him out... hows he doing?
He’s good. The sex change went well and he’s started using his dilators.

Pretty sure RRL had a similar issue with HJR and it was dome design.
I personally would go to a different builder, but that's my opinion.

I am going to get a new top end kit for my banshee I was wondering if I get a bigger piston and get more compression will I have to change other stuff like the jets in the carbs or any other parts?
Make sure you actually need to bore out. Just adding larger pistons won't do anything for power.

Somewhere between 45-51hp

I was thinking about getting my cub jetted by Louie at twister crank but someone told me that dyno jetting gets you peak hp and isn't necessarily good jetting for longevity. Would the plug chop method be better? I could do the main no problem but I'm not confident choosing the right needle.
Out the man who told you this!

Yes. Going to be really popular for a huge range of motors. I think Cam told me up to +14 with no mods.I believe that's right, but up to 24 total is what the FB says.

I was just on CP’s FB, looks like they’re casting cases now?

Nope
So which one isn’t?
CP is casted here I believe? Driveline isn’t?

Buy the one 100% designed and 100% made in the USA and you'll have 10 more horsepower.
Aren’t they both designed/casted here?

Your best bet is to call a builder and tell them your budget and want you want
