Personally I like dirt,but thats also because theres no sand around here. I know you duners have your own preferences,but when you ride trails,all that chrome and billet that costed a couple grand is worth about 2 cents after a couple rides.

The durablue eliminator axle will swap between a Raptor and Banshee.I'm not sure if the X-33 will ,but the heavy duty axle definitely will not.

PC or FMF fatties are probably the best all around pipes.If all you do is specific type of riding than maybe a different pipe would suit you. They aren't the most popular pipe makers for nothing you know.

I raced alot of quads on my Cr500.I have yet to lose a race to a quad or the holeshot for that matter.Granted I really have to slip the clutch to keep the front end down,but I always get em out of the hole. I've had a few 250's get me out of the hole,but after second gear,I'm back in front.The only bike that really gives me trouble is the Kx500 and the old Ktm 440/550.Ive lost a few to them. I get about 5 bike lengths on piped Raptors and 3 on stock bore,ported and piped shee and the rear tire never really hooks up until 4 gear. You can't really compare a bike to a quad.Quads weigh almost 200 lbs more than the average bike.Its the equivalent of riding double during a dragrace.

Never have a problem swimming in the ponds unless the airbox takes on water(thats when the sputtering starts).Once the filter gets wet,shee doesn't want to rev.If you wring the filter out shee's ready to go. Oh yea,I do have tors,but they've never been a problem.The carbs are stock and its an 01'

I agree Boonman. A motor runs on electricity and an engine runs on a type of fuel. Thats also how I was taught. But I do like the more colorful terms like mill,jugs,slugs,crashbox,hairdryers,laughing gas,flamethrower,pushers. I spent waay to much time at the track when I was a kid.

I bought a 96' Warrior shortly after I got my 01' Banshee.I got it basically for mud riding,I didn't want to subject my shee to submarine duty. Warriors are definitely no match for anything,but I threw a 4-stroke tech 446cc kit on it with a complete FMF exhuast and a little clean up porting.It still wouldn't take my shee,but it could run with 400ex's.I've got less than 2,500 into it including the machine Its now the designated wrecker.I've installed a custom hitch and made a towbar and wheel dolly for towing quads/bikes.I love my little warrior.And so does everone else when they need to be towed. Their shitty sport quads,but good 2wd workhorses.

Timing has absolutely no effect on jetting.Jetting changes are required when you alter the amount of incoming air or outgoing air.Pipes,porting,reeds,nitrous,turbo or air filter changes require jetting because a larger amount of air is being introduced or removed from the engine thus increasing the need for extra fuel.Extra timing means the fuel/aircharge will be ignited sooner.Advancing the timing does not change the airflow to the cylinder(like Wicked said),it simply ignites the mixture earlier.I hope this helps.

Glock,I remeber reading about some Turbo project waayyy back,not sure which magazine.I have 3 years of MM&FF back issues and 4 years of Super Ford.Or Super Ford/5.0L magazine.If you can remember which Mag ,I'll look for the article.There in labelled boxes(sigh) Some of those turbos they run look like they belong on a train engine,but remember you must have a balance between boost and volume(or Cfm). With the rising costs of these elaborate turbo setups,you really need to know what your doing to get the most out of them.They are definitely not for beginners. I personally would rather have 600 cu in. of motor than any turbo or supercharger.

Mid 7's is very"Quick",I can only hope to see that some day.Mustangs definitely are the game when it comes to drag racing. Turbos are nice but,$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$,Theres too much buck for the bang.

Quick,I know a 5.0L can run 10s on just a motor,but I have yet to see a 4.6 sohc do it.All of the 10 sec 4.6 sohc are running power adders.I'm not talkin the 4 cammers here either,I'm talkin about those 2 cammers. If you went faster than 8.60's at 155mph than you got me,We run a Super Gas full chassis T-Bird 460ci backed by an airshifted Lenco.Normally we run in the 9 index,but we've gone fast as 8.60,test&tune.Money issues have kept us off the track this year.(New motor). Those fuckin guys are nuts!10.5 tires and stock chassis.All I can say is DANGEROUS.I believe thats how Racin Jason died. What are you running now Quick?

Glock,I believe it about those 8.8's.They are very strong differentrials,comparable to chevys 12 bolt.Sounds like your buddy is racing a True street type class.They have to complete a street drive to be eligible to race.I have seen many mustangs breakdown during these drives,usually from overheating. JP-15 those buicks were called Gran sports or GSX,The 500 ft lb club guys.Those old buicks made a ton of torque. Let me ask you a question Mr. Mustang expert.Why is the 5.0L still the most popular engine used in Mustang bracket racing? Also any TRUE Mustang enthusiest would know the 5.0L made better torque than any 4.6 Sohc engine. Why are all of these so-called 4.6 10 sec freaks running huge blowers or nitrous. Answer:They simply can't do it with just the motor. I'm sorry if you got stuck with one of these junkers,but don't bullshit me,I was racing a 5.0 mustang when you were playing kickball at recess. Ford went the wrong way with the 4.6,you don't go down in cubic inchs and if you do you replace it with extra cylinders.The OHC was a nice addition,but Chevy did it in 1989 with the 350 dohc 32v ZR1.(405h.p)in its first year.Why couldn't Ford? Now to top it off Ford is going to up the Ante next year with a 5.0L sohc.There increasing the displacement on the junky 4.6 to make it a 5.0 What a shame,They'll probably even put the 5.0l badges back on it. Any 85-93 5.0L Mustang with a 5- speed will beat any 85-92 Camaro.I used to race a 88' Mustang and the best I've seen a stock I-ROC or Z28 muster was a 15.0.They make good power but are geared terribly.Especially the autos.I am a diehard Ford fan till the day I die,BUT ...There is no fucking way a 1999 mustang 4.6 SOHC with or without flowmasters will beat the Newer SS Camaro's.Johnnypoo is talking some serious bullshit.Look at a back issue of MMFF and you'll see the Cobra 4.6 DOHC had serious problems draggin the SS.The SOHC 4.6's are the shittiest motors ford has ever put into a mustang.Reminds me of the old 351M/400.Don't get me wrong,I love Fords,but even I will admit they fucked up when they designed that eyesore.
