  1. I'd check the coil, sparkplug wire & cap connection...sounds almost electrical to me.
  2. Here's my g/f's old banshee I re-built for her...(may as well be my F'n wife... ) Dark Blue Metallic Frame, yellow plastics,...and stock golden wheels, looked pretty slick with them on...some with haulers & my razr fronts... Good enough for what it was...
  3. Right on man! Next time be sure to plug the HQ!
  4. Hell yeah! That's what I'm talking about. Got me thinking about fishing...think I'll go & do that now. I'm only around bass & crappie, cats, & the occasional sun perch though.
  5. 1. Look into an aftermarket air filter setup & Trash the stock one. 2. Rid yourself of the useless Ebrake & it's electrical mess. (E-brake blockoff, undo the electrical plug on the E-brake) Those would be the 1st things I'd do.
  6. I've been fortunate enough to just have to slide mine out each time. Just keep it well lubed would be my best suggestion, you may have to get a punch & pound that bitch out, and maybe get a new bolt for it. You think a banshee's bad, try a 400ex swingarm pivot bolt sometime.
  7. It was a graydone proline 2:1 setup with a 35mm pwk & K&N. It had great low-end...until the clutch exploded. If I would have been thinking I should have stolen that setup and switched it with my stock shit, but didn't.
  8. I wanna see a write-up on the parent's ignorance & neglect to teach their kids properly about safety & riding....not just, "Here's the gas, here's the brake, you shift here, & Go!" That's just asking for it if you ask me.
  9. Get her her own quad before you lose yours! My g/f started out riding years ago before I even met her, I got her a banshee on our 4yr mark...ended up being a wreck(needed a lot done to it) so I rebuilt it to look purty & traded it off for an '01 400ex and screwed a dealer out of about 3g's. She's happy with it since I put on the full WB's exhaust, rejetted,..some other cosmetic chit & it's going to be rebuilt to match my banshee soon, but she still likes to cut loose on the banshee, she's not skeered by any means. Someday down the road she's going to let me build her a full on drag banshee so she can go put a hurt'n on the boys. But for now, she's happy with her EX...she'll like it even more when she can really ride it(just had her ACL completely replaced). If nothing else, I got a pretty nice ranch/trail bike to play on. Here's a pic of her old banshee, her present EX, & a typical shot at the dunes....notice she's on my banshee.
  10. Looks great man! Nice job...'bout damn time. T minus $1,215.00 and counting....
  11. Right on man! Let us know what you decide to go with. Led Zeppelin
  12. Depends...the 2:1 system will completely replace the airbox. For your riding though...lots o water..., you may fare better keeping the air-box, getting a proflow adapter & some good pod filters, like the K&N's with the lid attached, I'd still run outerwears on them though; just in case. Or maybe some other in-box filter setup, I think WhiteBrother's has a good setup, or those staged filters...shit I dunno, someone fill him in on in-box filter options.
  13. I'm running razrs all around, no complaints....but I've not tried many others.
  14. sredish provided some good points, I dunno, I know if I lean one way or another my shee will go that way in a wheely a bit...I'd definately check the tire pressure & make sure chit's lined up correctly in the ass end.
  15. Toomey 2:1 - One of the best mods on my bike to date. I still have my old K&N clamp ons,...hated them. They work good, but they were very, very high maintinance & hell to keep outerwears on. The 2:1 filters just as good, is more moisture friendly(especially with the new water-resistant outerwears), easy to clean, and I'm still running the outerwear that came with it. Got mine from RockyMtn.
  16. Oh yeah,...that too. Can't go wrong with better suspension.
  17. How about 'Led' & 'Zeppelin'
  18. I'd look into a kidney belt. I used to have the same problem; g/f's parents got me a kidney belt last Xmas & I never ride without it now. They're great. Good job on the re-construction Lee! Looks great!
  19. Never had any overheating issues....
  20. Syncing the carbs really isn't all that hard. Get yourself a clymers manual, it's a god-send...trust me. It has step by step instructions on syncing the carbs. If you look on the carbs, on the sides there's a little circular window....if you look on the carb slides there's a little bearing on each one. When the carbs are in sync you'll be able to view the little ball bearing in each window...hope that makes sense & helps you out.
  21. Happy B-day(s)!!!
  22. Never heard of them myself...but yeah, I'd give them a call & see WTF is going on...I'd be screaming discount!!
