  1. it really didnt add that much weight for the power it can and will make, with the weight distribution on this chassis it wouldnt help me to have the front brakes ect. on the track theres enough run off space to not really need to hammer the brakes too hard anyways, unlike on a sand or dirt track where your probably a little more limited to the run off space.
  2. It was in the high 150's, the rims need to be changed and im waiting for a new brake rotor and master cylinder to come in before i try it out again, the stock rotors dont like braking from high speeds and start wobbling.
  3. Time to drag this post up..lol I havent been up to much with this bike lately, it had a brake caliper bolt shear off and i found a 15ft deep ditch ending up with near no damage to the bike but it did beat me up pretty good. I ended up with a broken left femure with a spiral fracture up to my hip (think of twisting your leg till you dislocate your knee and then it breaks the bone) and 8 broken ribs (im ganna just compare this to giving birth for women!). I did get to see about 14psi on the dyno, the numbers so far looked pretty good with the tuning still rich as hell. right now though the shift forks are needing to be replaced (ordering billet ones). this was right before the accident.
  4. i didnt get to put my bike on the dyno, instead i brought it to the track. the first outing was for shake down passes, i have a few things to tweek and change around and will make it back to the dyno when i get more time off to go to higher boost. these passes were making lower boost 6-8psi, like i said i was making sure everything went good with the whole set up before going to more boost so the times werent really important to me just yet. 1st pass ever 2nd pass
  5. No sorry I had my mom pass away this passed weekend and wasnt able to do much of anything in a bit, I did however get to finish a few things this afternoon and was able to go down the street with it only making about 6psi before i let off (no wheelie bar on the bike) I did get a little vid of it idling and putting it back in the shop. tuesday it should go on the rollers for sure!
  6. i have a few things to finish with and then it will go on the dyno (stupid orings..lol). tuesday as long as everything is finished with it like i want it to be, tuning that afternoon and to the track for tnt on wednesday. ill try to get some video's on the rollers and at the track posted up soon.
  7. yeah, the regulator is a 1:1 meaning it will raise the fuel pressure 1psi for every # of boost, so say im starting it at 3psi base pressure and end up at 20psi boost, my final fuel pressure should be 23#'s. the fuel pump i have is good up to about 50#'s of working pressure, with the turbo good up to about mid 30's (according to garret) so i should have plenty of room to work with on the fuel.
  8. where are you trying to run it? shorter distances (300ft) can use a little higher timing than longer distances (8th mile). for a little shorter distance and start around 7 or so on the initial timing (timing plate) then have the cdi set to what will work best for your bike. for longer is start about 5 advanced.
  9. im starting the fuel pressure at 3psi, and the regulator is a 1:1 the fuel pump is good for about 50psi as well.
  10. the automotive forums and such is where i read up a decent bit on the blow through set up. it seems for the banshee owners that the blow through is the most economic way to get results. the fuel injection set ups are always an option as well.
  11. looks like a strut for moto-x
  12. running alcohol is finiky enough, then the tuning on turbo's seem finiky. thats why i was setting mine up to run race fuel or maybe even pump gas (i doubt it though). the tuning for gas motors is a little more forgiving than alcohol so it should say a little more consistant im hoping. i got my bike started and took it up the street a few times just to cycle the gears and everything. i had the boost controller closed so it didnt build any boost at all just yet. it will be on the dyno monday after next (cause ill be working all next week) and hopefully to the track the following wednesday if i can help it.
  13. yes that is the plenum behind the carbs, heres a better pic of it. this is an older pic of when we were fitting up the tail pipe off the turbo. i havent gotten to run it just yet, it should be on the dyno soon and ill get some graphs to post up as well.
  14. The original poster's bike is a stock cylinder. mine is a 10mm mini twister.
  15. i still have to put it on the dyno and get it tuned but mine is pretty much finished for now.
  16. mine is getting close, its been slow moving because i had to go back and change a few parts that were done but didnt fit exactly how it needed. ive gotten to the point now that im mainly waiting on me. setting up the fuel system and a few other small things like a oring set from twister to have the head back on.
  17. Hey i was just wanting to let everyone know that there is going to be a few people showing for the midnight madness on june 18th at no problem raceway in louisiana. its 1/8 mile asphalt. http://www.noproblemraceway.com/
  18. aerocharger's arent good for turning up the boost unless you want to stay around 16-18psi. and that is pushing them. shearer didnt want to make a turbo pipe when i was looking as well. cpi was the only company willing to build one and that took a little time to get it done.
  19. im selling my pvl ignition for a banshee, it was ran last on wednesday night (5-11-11), im selling it because im going back to a modified stock ignition for 1/8th mile. i. asking $200 shipped for it.
  20. The motor in the pics i put up is a 565cc, 10mm mini. its the "little" bike to the second one thats a 20mm dmx that will be getting a turbo set up as well. time working on it has been slow but I'm hoping to have it finished up in a few weeks as long as i can cut back on the o.t. at work. the motor in that bike is like i said a 10mm mini, billet cases, billet 2nd gear, billet output shaft, mattoon clutch set up, 2.36 primaries. 1-6 override. stock ignition with nology coil. the pipe is one built by cpi, the dynoport pipe wouldnt work because it wouldnt fit in the frame and hits the head if it did (test fit it out of the frame). once the motor is fired up and i can get a few dyno pulls on it the nitrous will be put to it and see what it will do at the track.
  21. are you selling the drum and forks with the trans or just the two racks?
  22. thanks fellas, i still have the cold side to finish this coming weekend if i get time. Then its just wiring the nitrous, ignition, vac/boost system, fuel system.
  23. its been a while but i finally had time to work on getting my turbo build rolling..
  24. are you wanting a dry shot or wet shot? whats the compression, fuel, additive fuel your wanting to use, ignition set up ect..
