  1. Sure, I'll PM my email and phone number -David
  2. Yea, hemi is just a buzzword that makes it sound like it's something different. I am experimenting with some domes that don't have hemispherical chambers. All the tests so far are very impressive. I have only let a couple of engine builders have them at this point but will probably put them on the market them pretty soon.
  3. You don't need to rebuild the top end or replace the pistons to install an aftermarket head. If you stay with domes that provide a 'reasonable' compression increase, there are no problems using it on an internally stock engine.
  4. It's a pretty easy mod. You only have to remove the fuel tank and drain the coolant to remove the stock head. You clean the top of the cylinders and install the new head. Re-jetting usually isn't needed but it's wise to check it after about any mod.
  5. I would be concerned about detonation. I don't know of any porting problems that there would be.
  6. I probably wouldn't go smaller than 19cc on 50/50 at sea level with the timing advanced.
  7. The head is inexpensive compared to a new set of pipes. Let me know if you are interested and I'll help with dome selection. I noticed that your timing is advanced. That, your elevation, and the type of fuel you want to run determine what compression you can go with. Increasing the compression will definitely improve your bottom end power. -David
  8. Thanks Deuce!! Yes, 20cc domes won't overstress your engine components. Most people around Oklahoma run 20cc domes with pump gas if their timing is stock. -David
  9. Looks kind of like Jeremy's. Nice avatar!!!
  10. My opinion may be biased but you can increase performance significantly with an aftermarket head in addition to the cooling benefits. BansheeHQ members also get a 10% discount on Noss Heads.
  11. If you want to go with the flange and K&N/Outerwear, check mine out at Banshee Parts BansheeHQ members get a 10% discount. -David
  12. I wasn't suggesting detuning it to the point that it runs like crap; only to the point, if necessary, to not overstress an unwelded crank. It would be a way to get by until you had a chance to do the rest of the stuff. I imagine that with the porting and increasing compression some, it would still run much better than it did before. Then, after you did the crank, you could trade the domes to get the full potential. Just an idea.
  13. Could you de-tune it a little with larger domes until you have the time and money to do the crank? If you sent the cylinders to Jim, call and ask him.
  14. The second one is probably closer. Mine (the 1st one) is on the high side. I am thinking of offering an exchange program for domes. Since there are many variables maybe letting people exchange them during the first 2 to 4 weeks would be a good idea. They would just have to be willing to accept domes someone else has traded if they wanted the option. What do you think?
  15. I would think there would be interest. There aren't many places close to Tulsa to ride. I hadn't heard anything about Appalachia (sp) going away.
  16. It would be best to get the recommendation of the person doing the porting.
  17. Here are links to the subsequent posts in case they don't get bumped close to each other. It's good reading. http://forums.bansheehq.com/viewtopic.php?...6464&highlight= http://forums.bansheehq.com/viewtopic.php?...6465&highlight= http://forums.bansheehq.com/viewtopic.php?...6466&highlight=
  18. It's really interesting stuff. Thanks for posting it.
  19. I have never dealt with GRR so I don't know anything about them except what I've read on HQ. I have dealt with both Dan at Patriot Racing and Jim at Passion Racing Engines. I think both of them are true engine gurus, way beyond the average engine 'builder'.
