Question about Alba Racing LT A-arms.
HeavyHauler replied to HeavyHauler's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I always greased the front A-arms and all suspension parts that has a zerk fitting before I went out for a ride. Today I removed the swingarm and surprisingly the swingarm came apart very easy. The pivot bolt came right out without any effort. So I cleaned everything up, inspected and re-greased everything and even applied a good amount anti-seize to the pivot bolt and the swingarm bolt collar. I’m going to rebuild the bearing carrier while I got everything taken apart. I don’t have any plans of doing any winter riding. -
Question about Alba Racing LT A-arms.
HeavyHauler replied to HeavyHauler's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Well yesterday I was preparing my Banshee for the new Fireball Racing LT A-arm that are coming this week and I came across a problem. Both (right and left) upper A-arm bolts were seized inside of the bearing collar. I tried beating them out with no luck. So I had to carefully cut the OEM A-arms off. Has anyone else have this problem happen before? -
Question about Alba Racing LT A-arms.
HeavyHauler replied to HeavyHauler's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I went with Fireball Racing LT A-arms and Elka’s stage 3 front shocks and a standard travel stage 3 rear shock. According to Fireball Racing I should have the a-arms by Dec 19th or 20th and should have the shocks by the end of January according to Elka. Now I have to shop around for an axle. -
Anyone here have the Alba Racing LT A-arms currently on their Banshee? What’s your likes and dislikes about them. I was out today doing some wheelies on my gravel parking lot and when I landed it bent my left upper a-arm right by the upper ball joint. I really don’t want to dump a ton of money into it because work has been really busy and haven’t had much time to ride her. So what’s your opinion. Thanks, Jake

I’m looking for any BHQ members that live in the UK primarily in the Scotland area. I inherited a European motorcycle 10 years ago and from sitting for 10 years I had a part go bad and the part that it need is not available here in the United States. I did some searching online and found a place in Scotland that has the part but they will not ship to the United States. So please I’m looking for some help. I have no problem with paying whatever it cost. If you can help please send me a pm here. Thanks

I just did a Motion Pro TORS delete kit with the idle screws on my banshee this past weekend. Just a little added information depending on the year of your banshee but on my 05 I had to unplug the TORS control unit that is located by the front fuel tank bolt on the left side (clutch lever side) to make my banshee run after doing the delete kit. I totally removed the control unit.

Pingle Power-Flo Dual Outlet Petcock Question
HeavyHauler posted a topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I purchased a Pingle Power-Flo dual outlet petcock from a BHQ sponsor (Redline Racing) after the OEM petcock started to have problems. So I contacted Redline and Cam told me to follow his instructions on how to install it on his YouTube channel and so I went ahead and watched it and I did exactly what he said and it worked perfectly. My only question is with the dual 5/16” hose barb outlets are facing downwards to much. Is it possible to slightly adjust the hose barb outlets so that they are upwards more? I don’t want to mess with it and cause any type of damage. Thanks Jake -
Get yourself a Coolhead with 19 - 22cc domes. Get some GENUINE V-force 4 reeds and a good quality adjustable timing plate . Stay away from the cheap counterfeit chinese knockoff stuff.

When my stock intake boots shit the bucket I came on here and asked the same exact question. It took a few of days before I got to response so I wound up going on eBay and ordered the Chariot racing individual 26-30mm billet intakes and I also ordered their billet reed cages that come with the boyesen power reeds. If I remember correctly I think I paid $350 plus some change shipped to my door and they ship there items pretty fast. I like the setup a noticed a little bit of a difference in the throttle response and powerband. Good luck, Jake

Just bought my first banshee! Need advice Please help😂
HeavyHauler replied to Zac.22's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Shaking like crazy at high speed can be caused by a balance issue with the tire and wheel assembly or something bent like a wheel or the axle. Steering issue could be a simple adjustment of the tie rods or might be a twisted steering stem. You need to place the Banshee on a flat level surface and place the handle bar in a straight position and look at which way the wheel needs to be adjusted. You then have to loosen the jam nuts on the tie rod ends and turn the tie rod in the direction the wheel needs to go until it looks straight. Then get a tape measure and measure from the center of the tire tread to the frame by the expansion chamber on both sides in the same location and then measure the front side of the tires and adjust to make sure that they both match on the front side and back side. -
Does anyone here currently use or have used either one of Chariot Performances Intakes or Billet Reed Cages ? On Saturday when I was installing my new fuel lines I happened noticed that both my stock intake boots have some cracks around the area where the clamps are for the crossover tube. I also noticed that the reed gaskets are seeping fuel a long the underside of the reeds. So any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jake

Help with a carburetor fuel leak.
HeavyHauler replied to HeavyHauler's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
@JerzOutlaw350Thanks for the info about the fuel hoses. I just got done checking the fuel hoses and you were right they are semi stiff and when I went to bent the hose it cracked. So it looks like I need to get some new fuel hose tomorrow. Thanks again for helping me out. Thanks Jake -
The carburetor on the left side (Choke side) is leaking fuel from where the fuel fitting looks to be pressed into the carburetor body. I tried to wiggle it to see if it is loose and it wasn’t loose. Is there any way to fix it ? Thanks Jake

Back in February of this year I purchased my 05 Banshee. It’s basically stock other than the Toomey T5’s, Toomey perfect jet kit and a Pro Design pro flow filter kit with the K&N filter and Outerwear that was installed by the previous owner. My elevation here is roughly 800 ft above sea level and my outside temperature varies from 50 degrees and can go up to 90 degrees depending on the time of year. I also heard that humidity can play an huge role and can affect the jetting as well. I have stock carbs with the TORS deleted by the previous owner. I was given the extra 270 & 290 main jets if I needed them for later down the road. So right now I have 280 main jets with stock pilots, clip is on the 4th groove on the Toomey needle and my air screw is at 1.5 turns out. I also use 95 octane ethanol free gas with a 32:1 mixture. I ride in a mix of terrain that is dusty, a little bit of mud and a couple of shallow water crossings which are anywhere from about 6”- 18” inches deep depending on the rain fall in the area. I avoid really deep water( it’s a Banshee not a Jet Ski ) and I don’t fly through the water crossings either because I don’t run a lid on my air box, but I do use a Outerwear that is dust proof and water repellent on my K&N filter and I don’t have any problems with the filter setup, but before I do anything I check the filter & Outerwear to make sure that everything is clean, tight and in working condition before I do any kind of riding. From what I read on here in some of the really old posts that they are saying that the stock air filter setup is completely garbage and that it should be the first modification that should be done when buying a new Banshee. How muddy are the trails that you ride on ? Are they the type of trails that you need a 4x4 quad to ride on ?
