  1. Okay, gonna pull them out right now, be back in a few mins with the results
  2. Yeah I understand the process guys but, I'm not so sure you guys are understanding my issue. Original bleeder nipple isn't letting anything through, the other nipple allows suction but then it fills right back up with air. Is there any other way to test my caliper to make sure it's holding pressure? Cause I don't think it is.
  3. Okay, I'll get them off and try kicking it, should I expect it to crank up? Or just spew out the gas then I plug them back up and kick her with the fuel on?
  4. That's the thing though, shouldn't it be holding the pressure as I pump? Cause with my raptors nipple it just sucks air right back in as I pump, I know cause of the gauge on the vac. The og nipple doesn't let it bleed.
  5. Kick it with my spark plugs unscrewed to see if gas comes out those holes? What would this tell me? I will try in a sec, just making sure we're talking about the same plugs. & to ginger yes I measured from were the gasket sits (with gasket off) to the top of the float. & yeah I put the choke tune back on
  6. I've been pumping but no pressure. For starter I think the nipple on the caliper is clogged because I took the nipple off my raptor and swapped it onto this caliper and it wouldn't hold pressure with the vac.. it would bleed but the needle on the vac was indicating loss of pressure. I swapped back to the original and it holds the pressure but no bleeding
  7. So I picked up a vac, and I got some fluid to come out of the caliper nipple with the vac but still no pressure in my brake. Could it be my master cylinder has gone to shit? Or am I doing something wrong? Still nothing comes out when I do it the traditional pumping method. Fluid only comes out with vac
  8. How can I address the issue then? I tried adjusting the float already what else could it be?
  9. Alright guys so I took the carbs off checked my float it was a little off (when flipped upside down it sat low) so I bent the clip to raise it up a bit or lower it when it's sitting up right and I reinstalled and went to crank on but still won't fire up. Before my carb repair a few weeks back, it used to leak out of the hose connected to the carb basket (bottom part you unscrew to expose float and all that) now it's leaking off the bolt on the bottom, accidentally left my fuel on last night and there's a pretty decent size puddle under my engine, none out of the hoses. Whats going on guys, did I damage my motor is that why it isn't starting? Or is this carb related?
  10. I'm gonna look up some videos tomorrow and get to it, do you think this is stopping the quad from starting? It was starting fine before, started giving me trouble 2 nights ago and hasn't fired up since
  11. I just rebuilt carbs not too long ago, about 2 weeks ago, what would be the fix to this issue? How would I even be sure if this is my issue?
  12. Just filled her up with fuel and went to fire her up but she's just not starting.. what's happening here? I can get it to crank on for a split second if I kick it with the choke enough times. And when I try to fire it by giving it gas it just rolls over no crank on. Can anyone help?
  13. So took it out for a ride today after working on it all day, been doing some cosmetic work, swapped handlebars the clutch lever changed tires they've been on the most bald tires you've ever seen in your life since I got it.. extremely happy with the results Heres some before & after https://ibb.co/bVphF5 https://ibb.co/k04Shk but on the ride (I'm talking about a 30 minute ride) riding on street, as I was pulling back into my house my quad didn't wanna idle right when I pulled in the clutch on 1st and shut off twice, pulling into my yard it shut off riding on 1st and didn't wanna turn back on. I check the gas tank and it's about a 1/4 for some reason my quad doesn't like to start on low gas even on res. Is it normal for my fuel to be wasting so damn quick? I mean the quad has its mod but I don't feel like it's right. The bolt on the bottom was leaking oil when I got back, I'm only assuming it's oil and gas since it's the blue oil I mix in the fuel. And not the greenish I use for tranny.
  14. I will start it up tomorrow and check to see if I can see the source of the leak. From what i saw the other day it only seemed to be wet right where those bolts are in the pic and dripping into a lil puddle right under them. I believe it was oil, maybe some gas in it. I will collect some tomorrow and let you guys know
  15. How about this? https://ibb.co/hyUJL5
  16. Noticed it pretty much out of no where a few days ago, doesn't leak much only when I let the quad sit. If I'm not mistaken when I leave my fuel on. E-http://i65.tinypic.com/1dy5hj.jpg its the two bolts under my tranny drain bolt. (Closer to the back)
  17. Okay, so if I want to find that spot where it idles on it's own, I need to screw in (clockwise) to raise the idle? Or out (counter-clockwise)? by slack how much slack do you mean? The cable I had before I swapped it had a broken rubber boot I guess that didn't allow the little metal housing you're talking about to sit snug on the cap. (Which I realized was the source of the free play on my thumb throttle) So when I swapped cable,it's much better (on the thumb it's much better and sitting on the cap much more snug).
  18. Could it be that it's not idling because of the fuel/oil balance in my tank right now? When I bought the quad dude told me he's always ran a cup per gallon. Talked to a buddy he said that's wayyy to much he does 4 oz a gal which half a cup so 1 cup per 2 gals rather than the 2 cups in 2 gals like I was doing. So this last time I fueled up I poured about 1.5 cup to see how it ran. buddy told me my quad won't even run right with the amount of oil I was throwin in there but it ran pretty good in my opinion
  19. Good to know, mine don't have them. But yeah the idle screws are different heads than yours I guess that they're the same thing mine are just flatheads. But you're saying I should turn them in on both carbs? On the vid I saw it said screw all the way in and then 1 turn out from all the way in for the air screw. And for the idle, screw it all the way out stick your finger in the slide screw in till you feel it pick up the slide then 2 and a half turns in from that point. I did that for both my carbs. how do I know the sweet spot? Does it depend on mods and things like that?
  20. Nope don't have those I have a flathead screw there and no clip for the tors like in ur pic. I just took it out ran it hard and it was idling when I would pull clutch even idled in neutral. But then turned it off turned it back on and it's doing the same
  21. No tors on my quad just throttle cable straight to carb cap. Just switched my throttle cable because the one I had on there had some free play on the right carb for some reason so with this new cable it idled for about 5 seconds before I noticed it was gonna die out and now it's dying out again every time I let go of the throttle. The thumb throttle also had some free play before which this new cable fixed.
  22. Also, just so you guys know even when it's hot it won't idle, the quad dies out as soon as I let go of the throttle.
  23. I was out riding with my girl yesterday and my bike just died out of nowhere. I started it back up took off and when I hit 4th I noticed it was accelerating weird so I bring it back down and it dies out when I shift it down.. so I put in neutral, check the gas and it's empty.. even though I had just filled up the day before and only rode for half hour.. but whatever I get some gas fill her up today and I fire her up and she won't idle. She will turn on fine, and ride too but it's not idling. I just watched a video on adjusting the air & idle screw on the carbs and that did not help. Still shuts off if I don't give it gas. note that this problem occurred suddenly, my quad used to idle perfectly before it turned off on me mid ride.
  24. Damn like that? I saw a video on YouTube and saw his start squirting after like 2 pumps so I figured my cylinder was gone. I kinda hate the idea of buying something just to perform a single job. So I'll probably go at it a little more. If not I guess I'll go pick up the vac just hope that I don't get it for nothing and at the end it is my cylinder lol. E- what do you mean make sure my caliper is higher than the master?
  25. Just noticed the typo on the title, it's my rear brakes
