I don't want it to run lean and blow up just rebuilt the hole bike can you give me a starting point as to what to go off of for the jetting needle position and air screw for my set up or is there anyone running th same as me anything will help

Seems a little better in 6th tho still kind of the same I didn't have that big of an area to test it tho I need a base to go off of so Ik I'm so close help please here's another pic of the plugs from tonight's run

Ok thank you so that that would be moving the clip up which would lean it. And the needle is on the 4th clip down already so I'll have to put it on the 3 and then go from there

Yes it is oil on the side of the plug and I thought the needle on did 1/4 -3/4 of the throttle

I'll have to try the needle it's already in the 4th clip down and these plugs look soaked to you I'm new at reading plugs imo I though maybe it needed a bigger main jet

Brand new ngk caps I didn't test the coil but it possible it could be bad bike sat in a bar for a year or two blown up. How does my plug color look?

I thought it was lean and that's why it seemed sluggish

Ok so we have a 89 banshee bored .50 over stock reed cage with boyesen reeds fmf fattys w silencers. K&n filter no lid carb setting needle jet is 4th down from the top air screws 1.5out pilots are 30 and mains are 270. Doesn't seem to smoke as much at wot as it does from 1/4 -1/2 throttle

Today went out and rode the banshee for the first time since the rebuild. It's bored .50 over has fmf fattys with fmf silencers. K&n filter no air box lid. Stock reed cages with boyesen reeds. For getting I have 30 pilots and 270 mains and 4th clip down on needle and 1.5 turns out on air screw has plenty of power in 1-4 gears and when I got 5 just takes a little to get into power band but it doesn't bog or fart which is weird.

Ok guys new problem now here's a pic of the plugs Left cylinder is the left did right is the right. Seems to me it's an animal 1-4 then I hit 5th doesn't seem to catch power band till I stay in it a little doesn't bog or back fire any ideas and the clutch is good it's not slipping it's brand new. 40 rear sprocket and 14front sprocket

Oh yeah def is I'll ride her open throttle today I really never got too and I had the carbs completely apart and they are spot less

Yeah I'll have to try tht I mean the thing runs solid fast and real strong. Iike I said idk the history of it I pretty much got it in a box and rebuilt the motor now I'm trying to work the kinks out of it and I was worried and was thinking it was burning tranny oil it doesn't smell like gear oil just smells like yamalube. But I'm taking it riding tomorrow I will def post pics of the plugs after riding

Ok I'll have to do that and it runs great it's not running lean at all I was just concerned bec one pipe was smoking more than the other I just wanted to know if that's ok bec I looked up vids of what it looks like if you have a bad crank seal and it plums smoke I just wanted some opinions on what my issue is if it's a major problem or normal

No i don't know how to do an engine pressure test but would it be spuing oil out the exhaust bec it's not here's another video https://vimeo.com/147972598

I have 270 mains in there rn and look at the video does it look like it blowin tranny oil? Keep in mind I just did a whole engine overhaul
