I ran stock carbs with tors delete and never needed to mod anything for Honda thumb throttles. Guy up the street at my old house did the same thing never has issues.

4 strokes are easy... I have a rash of them. My banshee didn't impress me and I was not spending more money on it. It's ok for people to own different bikes ya know. I came from a YZ426F and yes the banshee was not up to power to me but i tried it, and did all the normal mods everyone said to do. Did it work better, yes a lot better. It didn't work the best in slow technical stuff but great in hill climbs. Was it fast....not sure...it didn't live up to the hype so many say it was maybe because i own other high performance toys. I mean if something didn't impress you MR. Freak would you keep dumping thousands into something to see if it does. Prob now. Be real about this man Going to flame for me getting a bike 40lbs lighter with new technology then flame me, I have a YZ250 motor sitting in a frame if this 450F motor shits the bed, not hard to put things in places that don't belong. The banshee was in 100% working order when it was sold. I fixed it's electrical issues with people help here and that was great. The new owner wanted it because of its hype...the 450r I got/ traded for was a lot faster then the banshee. Is what it is. As of now 1 day later it's down to the frame throwing everything away on it that's not needed. Both road the each others bike awhile with no issues. 3 guys came and were in love with it and yes all agreed the 450 handled better in some areas. They wanted a banshee as I did and now I am done and over with owning a banshee. Would I buy another one sure if the price was right as I buy bikes all the time do I want one right now, nope. I am going to hit them this week with welds. Nothing is leaking at the pipe to silencer joint. I have them band clamped very good with that rubber hose crap sold on ebay. The clamps that came with were not strong nuff to clamp down but the one at lowes were. I've even made sure I didn't have the bowls swaped. I do not think its bowl related. I have extra bowls and does not seem to matter what I do. I think the problem is in the carb body but you'd think a gasket would take care of any flatness issues. Right now its not leaking and didn't leak with a 2hr test with full bowl and fuel left in the on position. OEM gaskets leaked bad, just dripped out. Vitos gaskets didn't leak bad, more so weeped over a few rides as the gasket seems to soak up with fuel. Shame they couldn't of used a rubber gasket. my 84 KX125 uses the same type of gasket to carb seal but they does not even leak if I have it off 20 times...prob been off 3 time total in 2 years.

Turned ful on to fire it up and gas leaked out of my carbs at the joints. This is the 3rd set of gasket I have put in. It seems every time I open carbs I need a new gasket. Carbs never overflowed thru the tube but they will weep at the gasket seal at the fronts. I guess stock carbs can soon go in the trash also. Only other thing I noticed is my pipes are pretty oiled up at the packing connection. It's been a year now so might be time to repack them. Other thing I noticed was left head pipe has 3 holes in it. Not hard but tiny pins holes. I could see oil on my frame in a dumb area so that may be causing the more smoke on 1 side issues.

Noticed the right may have been opening later a tiny bit. I cleaned carbs and sealed airbox connection while I was in there. After 3 hours in the garage I am tired of working on it. Maybe ride it sunday and see if it cleared up before I go farther.

I noticed the air box is leaking at the seam where it is jointed together, brand new OEM one too. I will need to remove it and gasket bond it all back together. After that I see if the carbs are still in sync...they were doing at a shop in oct. Hard to believe in 3 hours they would be out of sync but I did have them appart 2 times for jetting. Not sure why this bike requires more time working on it then riding it. I didn't buy it to be a mechanic. More so up to be a rider.

No Tranny or coolant leads anyware on the bike. The exhaust only smells like premix oil and the stuff I run does not even smell. It's not a lot more then other pipe just noticed it when testing my new CDI in driveway Saturday. Entire motor was rebuilt and has maybe 3 hours on it. Carbs were cleaned twice in last 4 months and rebuilt once, and re-jetted twice also and both plugs look nearly identical. I do not let the bike sit with fuel in the bowls either. I may look at the air box tonight and see if there are any air leaks. I know they are pieced together and wonder if that could cause it.

I fixed all my jetting, fixed all my electrical problems so now it runs very crisp and fires back up after I turn it off. I noticed it smokes more on my right side silencer then my left. I have everything set the same between carbs. Not sure if one plug is not as new as the other one or if they would be a different issue. Maybe its not even an issue and more so just an oiled up silencer. Just wondering if there is anything to check I haven't tried already. I am getting fuel to the carbs. I have nice free flowing clear lines.

I know that for next time. Already bought 97-06 CDI and adpator plug off the harness guy

I would expect they are not hand made each time and are premade by machine bending. Prob just sitting on a self waiting to powder coat and throw in the box. For that price. I've seen hand made parts and they are always more.

he gave me a few options, send me pics to swap plugs, send it to him to do for free or buy a conversion CDI to harness peice. I think I will get the conversion piece. I canceled my back ordered CDI and bought a used on of ebay with money back if does not work.

I got my harness from him, I will see if he can make a conversion piece for me to use new cdi. I already bought a new OEM stator 95+ style.
