    To understand a material, how it react, you have to understand what the numbers and curves that define the material mean. But, what are you trying to say to me? The arrow thing?

    Both will micro fracture when under repetitive load (fatigue). Under hight load/impact, alu will bent and carbon will break.

    No Dave. I mean that not only carbon can have micro fracture that can be hard to see or detect at first like the example (carbon arrow) you provided.

    I can tell you're not an engineer ;-) You can have micro braking on alu or any material too.

    Sure, remeber when i was talking about stifness to weight ratio?? That was exactly what i was talking about. Carbon fiber have a way higher ratio than Ti or Aluminium. But i have zero knowledge about making carbon fiber parts.
