  1. Don't get Athena cylinders. Driveline are better http://www.drivelineperformance.com
You will have to call them or email them to order the cylinders.

Another option is to send your stock cylinders to Redline Racing to be ported. Stock ported are producing same or better than the Athena's these days.

But to answer your question, 392 kits typically are meant for stock cranks, so just bolt it on and check squish.

  2. Unsure what you mean by bolting, maybe explain what you think it means. Bolt-ons are just easily added performance parts. Meaning they just bolt on.
Jetting is where you adjust the amount of fuel from the carburetor circuits by changing the "jets" in the carburetor. Each size jet has a different size orifice allowing more or less fuel. Jetting needs to be performed to compensate for some performance enhancements, decrease or increase in intake restrictions, air temp, air pressure, humidity, and/or fuel type. Basically, change jets to keep optimal performance.

I recommend you read this http://www.dfn.com/agservices/jetfaq.html

  4. petroleum breaks down jb weld after time. turns it into a play dough like substance.
So I'm not saying this didn't happen to you, but it wasn't with original JB weld. I've had JB weld holding a magnet to a fuel float in a jetski gas tank for over 10 years.
  5. In the jetski world, it is usually either original JB weld or Devcon aluminum Liquid for filling case voids, extending sealing area, or for case porting.  The original JB Weld thins and pours nicely when warmed and is typically cheaper.  Just be sure to overfill the area a little as there will be shrinkage as the epoxy cures.

  6. Yes, if that digital stator is putting out 12VAC nominal voltage the JL kit from JDS will convert it to DC.

Does not need to be 12VAC, just >12vac. Voltage will vary with RPM and likely peak at around 40VAC. The kit includes a regulator/rectifier. But otherwise you are correct.

Edit: Just to clarify further, the DC voltage after rectification is (1.41*VAC)-(diode voltage drop)=VDC. So if the reg/rec is set to output 14.4VDC and assuming a diode voltage drop of 0.7V and a full bridge rectifier, then you need > (14.4VDC+1.4v)/1.41= 11.2VAC.
  7. Definitely get a billet basket.  I shattered the fingers off my stock one with a Serval on pump gas launching in dirt. The pieces of basket fucked my main gears.  Same as N2O, get a new bushing for the new basket.  Also, inspect the thrust washers on either side of the spacer for abnormal wear.  Mine were worn and causing issues a few years ago.

Mattoon, Chariot, and Redline are popular choices for baskets.
