  1. Here's a picture of when I mounted them. They're on correctly but your brake line routing isn't, not that it won't work the way it's supposed to or anything but it's always behind the shock. LS sent me the wrong size tie rods and the wrong steering stem, if those two have happened to me I wonder how many other mistakes these "professionals" have made haha. Anyways your solid for tomorrow.
  2. Dude, it was a great turn out we left today after my cousin went flying trying to drift on his shee and it catching while going 40+ sideways haha
  3. Got her a little protection for the swinger. Ocotillo (rockOcotillo) can be pretty rough on the bikes.
  4. I have a screen in my gas tanks line but that would only cover bigger random black chunks you'll sometimes find from older deteriorated gas station lines. This one your talking about probably doesn't filter to the micron levels like the in line fuel filters though I'd assume?
  5. OoOoH you fancy! I have considered running pure race fuel bit I ride too much to want to be spending 60-70 every two weeks or less for a 5 gallon jug otherwise I'd be all for it. Yea they definitely will and I'm afraid they would cause the small air bubbles I was complaining about but maybe after some people trying it since it's more direct and now being gravity fed individually it wouldn't be as big of a problem. There was a lot of sand in there which was where the first owner had just ridden the bike a number of times and I've only been out there once with this bike so I'm also thinking it was all previously in there.
  6. Damn! Just took the stock fuel valve off and saw all the $hit built up now I'm considering running individual filters. Anyone running them on the pingel set up?
  7. I often catch pockets of air in my fuel line after the inline fuel filter. So to try and eliminate that since the Pingel valve has a screen on it itself I won't be running a fuel filter anymore since it will catch everything that would clog a jet and there will be two direct lines to the carbs and eliminate the T in the fuel lines so it's direct and to the point.
  8. Check if your fuel line is bubbling up and has bubbles if you have a line that you can see through and check. With t bouncing around the choppy sand you could be getting pockets of air into the carb. Also if it's an o-ring in your cool head you'll see one side or both spitting out whiter than normal and little bits of water at the ends of them. You can also take your spark plug out and smell it or see that it's wet.
  9. Bring the frame guards so the frame color stays minty!
  10. Got a dipstick to match the scheme and some new pipe springs. All the other pipe springs I saw were chrome or too shiny for me which I don't like so I settled with these guys.
  11. Thanks guys I shall keep them coming as best as I can. I'm running out of things to do. I'm done power wise. I do want the rear Elka LT link if anyone has one laying around. Maybe I'll go back to some flexx bars? I don't know. Never thought of it as the superman bike ha, just MMMERICA. But it does fit. Got some 8" wheels for the sand stars I've ran before but didn't this time since I didn't have wheels for the banshee and it had came with skat traks with a 10" wheel..basically hated them. So here's the wheels I'll be mounting the sand stars and these
  12. Got them cylinder holders ported by Herr jugs racing. Nice work I must say..we shall see how they perform.
  13. I've had the tech 3's and haven't had the issue of losing air but I have had a heck of a time getting a the rings off a set. As a matter of fact I still have it and still yet to be able to take off the ring haha. I have the DWT set up your looking at getting and it's been my favorite so far for Mx.
  14. Received some new bits. Chariot performance throttle. JL engineering grab bar with an integrated LED light..no need for clunky rear tail lights anymore and I'm sure it'll be a lot brighter also for those desert trips where I need a light in the rear but the 916's make that difficult but still doable. Can't stress enough how good John takes care of his customers.
  15. Got rid of the ugly rear brake caliper forgot to post it. Didn't feel a difference really, but it looks good.
  16. Different thread reminded me I had added an at least 5+ hp part to my build. TM's hanger! Hate that they didn't make the colored options anymore as I would've preferred that then shiny business.
  17. I recently bought these. I had cascade solid mounts before. I like the adjustability these offer. They don't come with bolts though so you'd have to supply your own. I mostly ride my bike on an Mx tracks haven't had an issue with them whatsoever. Only thing that sucked was that they don't offer them in the colors they did I would've picked them up in a different color for sure but I'm happy, this design with the rubber in between the middle takes out vibrations but nothing noticeable compared to the solid mounts as I never had issues with those either.
  18. It's not really about it being uncontrollable as you control the throttle. It just won't be a fun motor anywhere but on the top end and have an on/off switch. I checked out your build thread I saw how not so knowledgable you were with these quads (no disrespect)..but you might as well start building the 4 mil as that'll be a much better choice for an all around shee.
  19. Sounds like a straight shooter ha. +20 titanium swing arm with Fox floats all around and -3 titanium arms in the front. There that wasn't hard.
  20. Based on other people's opinions that their primary purpose is Mx like DDQ. I have less wheel spin in the normal seating position I'm in, whereas before I would have to lean back and almost assuming the position as if I was trying to get the front end up to transfer enough weight to the rear to get it to hook up as well ( I'm ~170 with gear). Before the bike used to push a lot through a turn and I'd have to either almost lock up the rear brake and apply some front to get it sideways and not lose a lot of time around a turn or slow down enough as the bike is pushing through the turn and using the clutch and power to get it unsettled and sideways. Whereas now it turns more like my 450. I come into the turn get most my braking done pitch my weight using some power to break it lose hit my apex and get it out of the turn. Only thing I noticed in the air was when I'd use my rear brake to get the front end down it feels like it's a lot more effective now that the tires are closer to its center of gravity but that might just be me I don't know.
  21. No such thing just sit on the gas tank that'll keep her down. Fa sho..figured your it'd be the primary purpose as I said this is the Mx thread.
  22. Well considering this is under the MX thread I'm assuming your going after just that, so considering that, I don't see why you'd want to extend it out further since it's going to hurt your handling especially if your going to be adding an inch forward on the a-arms as I saw you talk about earlier in this thread. Doesn't make sense. I don't think even Duncan racing wth their complete motor package extended out their Mx bike they built for Eichner (if that's how you spell it) so unless your pushing that much power or aren't going for just MX your going in the wrong direction.
