I just listed mine on ebay on a 5 day auction, if you like I can keep you updated on what it does so you know if its worth it or not, my bike is pretty comparable to yours, its the 04 listed right under yours if you want to check it out to compare. -
Nice bike. I have been trying to sell mine for a while now to fund my next build and have not gotten any attention yet. I think all the squids out there who need a bike are after stupid fourstrokes or something. I have actually posted it on craigslist for trade for sportbike or jetski to have something that people are buying right now to resale to get my money. Maybe you should try that or your probably going to get stupid 2500.00 offers, people who actually know what you have usually build them there self, good luck and nice bike

Bike is in excellent condition, no scratches and no rust or dents, the minor light scratches on rear fenders would be the only thing you could pick on it. Almost everything is brand new and I can show receipts to prove if need be. Crank is trued and welded, clinders are twin bored 0.40 over"1mm", cylinders are mx ported, head is milled .30 and rechambered, dual stage reeds, k&n air pods with outerwears, do still have stock air box if you want it,+4 timing advance, tors removed with idle screws, new clutch plates steels and fibers, itp polished aluminum wheels, toomey t6 pipes, jetted and tuned with stock carbs, tusk comp nerf bars with nets, angry eye headlight covers, shock covers, billet grill, powder coated callipers, polished billet rear calliper cover, polished billet steering stem handlebar clamp plate, renthal bars, new graphics so on and so on, clean title in hand, wish I had it dyno tested but I didn't so I can't give you exact numbers, my guess is probably 60 hp give or take, runs very good.having hard time posting pics but can text them or email anything you want to see on the bike. 3500.00

Is the choke tube on? Its the tube that runs from the side of one carb to the side of the other, not the fuel line, the tube basically comes out on the opposite side of where the choke plunger is.

I have a new set of prox in the box, they are 0.40 over bore.

'm looking for v force reeds, cool head with domes, heel guards since my daughter likes to go on rides sometimes, billet clutch cover stator cover and water pump cover, black or white rear plastics, wider control arms, pro taper bars, billet or polished intakes and possibly 28 mm carbs. Thanks

one cylinder is firing different than the other.
clrkaw26 replied to clrkaw26's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Its all good, every motor is different, banshees are a little bit different than I expected. Its easy as hell to break all the way downand put together, but deffinately more knowledge on that particular motor is needed than a regular kx 250 motor. -
I was having a problem similar and forgot to reinstall the choke tube.

Its not me pushing the thread that direction, I'm asking honest questions. I'm not the one jabbing. -

I drive a car to work, and can't fit a rolling tool box in it, half The tools in the box belong to my work and we do not check compression the same, dare you to try, recessed heads, I also don't work on carbs anymore and 99% of the time it is diagnosed by the car system or by our diagnostics, I'm basically a good wrench turner and half the time there is a special tool for that, we replace snd rarely rebuild -

Actually they would both have chokes so not too sure that would matter -

That's a good question, would the two join together through a choke tube? -

Yeah, I'm sure a few people took their ball and went home, but I'm ok with it, all those people are still posting to my old thread and some really cool people that know their stuff have been talking banshee with me on this one. Im sure some how some way some one will figure out how to twist that but don't mean anything negative towards anyone. -

I bought this thing used so its making ot tough, if I bought it bone stock I would be better off, I'm not 100% if the crank is stock or if the head has already been milled, that's why I bought just a motor so I would know more about what I have but I don't trust the guy who ported those cylinders so put stocks back on, I guess I need to do a squish test. When I redo my topend so I will be able to see if I can deck the head with clearance, only thing I do know for certain is the cylinders on the bike are not ported, they are bored .040 over and that's about all I'm certain on, I do want to get it ported and decked but really want to know more about what is exactly in it before throwing away more money on the wrong porting or decking a head that will not work because my motor could possibly be stroked. The piston comes up above the cylinder as it is. -

Yeah, I usually just rent one from autozone but didn't this time since I have a new topend on the way, I did have these cylinders honed and they are in great shape but I will check it over really good and do a leak down check and compression check once I replace it. I'm really surprised on how much power it gained just by replacing the airbox with pods and advancing the timing +4. next on the list is having someone reputable port my cylinders, cool head and v force reeds. If anyone goes to 4's I will buy your 3's.
