  1. Just got back from mothersday and finally got to start it and test it, that stupid little tube fixed all my probkemsvexcept being stupid enough to forget puting it back on. Exhaust pressure is good again and its running perfect, thanks!!!! But I do want to ask a easy question for some of you, when I cracked my block open it looked like the crank was aftermarket but the rods were stock, I measured the travel but had to do it with a meausuring tape and calculate inches into mm, my factory cylinders also look decked, so the question is will a completely stock crank, rods and factory wrist pin location piston raise higher than the top of the cylinder at tdc, the dome part of the piston will come up higher than the cylinder, I do not recall my bikes doing that but I also run vortex flat tops in them and this banshee has pro x 31k 1.2020.100 65mm pistons.thanks in advance.
  2. I came to that conclusion from exhaust pressure, that's exactly what I'm going to do.
  3. I took it apart to do the trans mod and was going to do a little more but after really reading I'm just going to wait to build my stroker the right way and just ride this bike until it gets done. That's why it was taken apart, was also suppose to get new top end but they sent wrong pistons so waiting for the right ones.
  4. Well hopefully that will fix my problem and the new top end I'm waiting for will bump up the compression, guess I have to wait on another gasket set too
  5. Ha ha, yeah that was pretty stupid. Will that actually create less compression on that side? I'm pretty sure that why it was so lean though, couldn't run it tonight to check but did fire up on first kick so I can rest this bruise in the center of my foot while I try to dial it in tomorrow.
  6. Damn, I totally forgot to put that tube back on after cleaning my carbs, hopefully that will help some of my issues, I want to start it now and check but the hoa members will throw a tantrum this late
  7. The choke on the left side carb is on, no choke to the right carb, it has a stupid boost bottle on it but that's more of an equalizer than choke tube right?
  8. I think I should have been more specific, it ran fine before I disassembled it but after it started doing this, it was not a running good one minute and bad the next, something is going on because of either my topend, tors eliminator or airpods, maybe all combined
  9. Choke tube? The choke on the left carb is there and works but not one on the right side, float bowls are fine.
  10. I turned the idle screws all the way out on both sides and it still did same just no idle, it will not start without spraying mixed gas in the carb either, stupid supply house sent me wrong topend so I had to temporarily put my other back in and it ran fine before, now that I think of it I did take the rings off the side that is running good now which might have stretched them a littl giving that side better compression but still does not explain the reason my right side is running so shitty and lean.
  11. I checked the reeds on the bad side and no cracks or wear at all.
  12. I started it up and manually moved the slide up and down on just the bad side and it responded to it so I know I'm getting spark on that side but it is running more lean than the other and it feels like less compression than the good side but the fact I blew a flame out the bad side pipe I am still thinking its a fuel issue
  13. That was what I tried right away, I swapped the plugs and it still does it, so swapped plug wires and still does it, I checked my reeds andthey are good, I even took the cylinders off that I had ported and put the stocks back on to make sure its not a bad port job, my carbs look to be in sync dead on nuts, my reed boots are perfect and gaskets are new and my girl is calling my bike lefty and fucking with me.
  14. I just filed it past the slanted part till it was flat, it did change my idle slightly when screwed all the way in, it seemed like the other cylinder ran a little more with the choke off than with it on so I reved it and it blew a flame out the right pipe and that's the problem side, I shut it down quickly, it also wants to die with the choke off and once it does its a bitch to restart, at first I thought I might be getting better compression on one side than the other which may pull more fuel but I really think its carbureted.
  15. I just put it back together, it ran great before but now one side is not firing the same as the other, the left side is smoking and seems to have really good compression and the left side was blowing cold air for a bit then warmed up but still not much smoke and compression, i flip flopped spark plugs and wires but still same thing on same sides. I did put the tors remover and idle screws on but did not change anything with the jetting or anything else, when I pulled the plugs the left side that is doing fine is a little wet and the right one is dry, not sure if its running leaner or just not getting much fuel, both carbs have seperate brand new air pods. Any idea?
  16. I'm sure 99% of the members here are cool, just backing there buddies, I'm good with that, I have the same backing at every track I race at and every place I trail ride, I'm just the new guy, the problem is I do have balls and I stand up for my self, I'm cool with highsiding, but I have to know a person a little first.
  17. There is many examples to show proof to show just how retard that OP is. Really???? If your going to call someone a retard make sure your post does not sound like it was written by a 5yr old.
  18. Nope, that's what you ended up rephrasing it to to save face.and how many times arr you goinh to go to the hit close to home or hit nail on the head, its old.
  19. I'm not even mad at windy, I thought it was a little immature, I would rather give my bike away than to have anything to do with sprinkles, I don't believe inthat attitude, he's the only one that got under my skin, 99% of the others joined in on there own and I have notreally even talked shit to. But seriouslydid acknowledge helpful posts
  20. Read back a little, I'm doing everything that people have reccommended, and have been thankful those, everything else posted are just slams and movie trailers and wanting to fuck up my couch, that's not help
  21. If it needs to be changed I will change it, theguy who ported it suggested puting a 4mil in it with it ported this way, I'm not a banshee guru yet but as far as the longer stroke I would assume that would just give more compression and the ported cylinders are just flowingbetter, he also mentioned that he decked the head .030 instead of .040 incase I did go with a different crank, I know many of people are decked to .040 with a longer stroke but I listen to what he tells me, I don't have the port measurements on me right now but I will post them. I'm already happy with the way it runs now.
