  1. Ok, do you think milling the head would be better than a cool head, and what do you think would be a good jetting combo with losing the air box advancing the timing and my t6 pipes?
  2. Here is what I got now, 2004 with toomey t6 pipes, stock welded crank, bored 1mm "65mm", ported stock cylinders, pro x31k pistons, stock timing, stock airbox, tors all intact and stock carbs. I really don't want to bore it any more and don't want to replace the crank, not a millionaire either. I ride dirt trails and no sand, what can be done to wake it up some more and what numbers could I expect? My thoughts were a cool head but not sure which one to get or domes, air box mod, timing plate and jetting? Would this be a significant difference?
  3. Ok, I think what I have is a 1mm bore to 65mm cylinders and pro x pistons on a stock crank with some port work, thanks to all snd if you think this is incorrect please inform.
  4. I have tried a few times to post pics but it always say file too large.
  5. Update, I pulled the jug and the inside of the piston says prox31k and the crank has an N on one side and it looks like 28L or 29L on the other, do you know what this means?
  6. I do not see a spacer. But I did measure approximately 57.150 mm stroke from top to bottom.
  7. I just took the head off my nee banshee to get a look at what I have and condition, the top of the piston says 100 and that's it, does that mean its bored over .100 to 66.50 mm or am I wrong? It does say 100 and not .100. Also I measured the crank stroke and got roughly 57.150 mm a nd I believe stock is 54, is it a +4 crank?
  8. Mine says 100 and that's it. Nothing else
  9. Also while I have the head off I measured the stroke like suggested and I'm getting 57.150 mm. Stock shows 54 and 57.150 is just shy of +4, is this a + 4 crank?
  10. Ok guys, I just took the head off and the piston says 100. From what I have read .100 means its bored to 66.50 mm and makes it 382cc. Am I misunderstood, reading wtong or is this correct?
  11. That's kind of what I thought at first, but no way no how is this thing stock, I have raced motorcycles since I was 4 so 32 years and I have beat pretty much every bansh. I have ever rode with and stock banshees are really kind of slow, this one is not, I'm just going to have to tear it down, I cant stand not knowing what crank it has, what bore it has, if the head is milled or cylinders ported and I really don't see being able to properly build this thing correctly without knowing that info.
  12. I have not raced anyone yet, just got it monday. My buddy has a modded trx 450r and I absolutely can't let him win, I beat him pretty bad on my kx 125 spare bike and he can't come close to my kx 250 but I will never hear the end if he beats my banshee. I don't really know what is inside this motor but I do know its not stock, much stronger than my friends banshee and he has ported cylinders, milled head, rad valves, 28 mm carbs without the airbox, different cdi box, timing plate, t5 pipes and running on c 12. I still have the crap gas that was in it, reed spacers look stock, cylinder and head are oem airbox still factory and tors is all intact so I'm assuming the carbs have not been modified or that would be the first thing to do, I really don't want to break it down to see what is there just to put it back together unless its completely necessary for matching the rest, I am really just wanting to upgrade the head, timing, airbox and jetting and that should be enough, if anyone has stuff like that for sale or nerf bars, bumpers, motor dress up kits, wider control arms and cool stuff send them my way.
  13. I'm a new banshee owner and just bought a 04, it seems pretty stock except for a 380 bore and boost bottle which I hear is a joke, I have not opened the motor yet to verify the bore or crank but would love good info of some things to do to it to get more out of it, I can't let those 4 strokes take me!!!! I want to make it fast and reliable and your info on some good mods and how to correctly match it and where to get them at a good price would be appreciated, was goung to start by timing and a cool head but have never dealt with all these dome sizes, also airbox mod but no idea what I should rejet it to. Advice appreciated.
