Sore throats suck. I hate them but get them a lot. Here's a trick a doc told me that works amazingly well. Take a standard dose of ibueprofen and a standard does of tylenol with food. He said they work together very well as a pain reliever. It was the basis of excedrine.
Walgreens sells a cold medicine called multi-symptom maximum strength cold relief. It works wonders.
acetaminophen 500mg
pseudoephedrine hci 30mg
chlorpheniramine maleate 2mg
dextromethorphan hbr 15mg
It's a good combo for what you are saying you have. You can add ibueprofen to the standard dose too if you need it for the core throat. It already contains "tylenol".
I have a cheap dampner also like the ones your talking about. Actually I'm thinking shredish and I got ours within a week of each other. PITA to mount. At first I didn't think it did much. On flat perfect terrain it won't benefit much. It's the ruts and terrain that grabs the wheels that it helps on. I notice it big time in the mud and in the snow.
Now, there are much much better ones. Blueduece has been lucky enough to try out a couple brands. I think he said he's running a scotts now $450, but it works so well that he can't remember if he through his other one away or not.. lol.
It could be the alignment cam on the shift fork is loose or mis-aligned. The clymers manual shows how to adjust it. Just make sure you really tighten the retaining nut that holds the cam. It looks like a flat head screw. I took mine out, grinded the grooves off of it and tightened the shit out of the retaining nut. No problems since. Most of my trouble was when under power like a drag race.
I surely agree with that. You pay your premiums to be protected. Holyman was in the insurance business and I'm sure he knows what he is talking about. Don't let the insurance company shit on you.
I've had a sound that sounds like a plastic handle of a screwdriving bouncing since I've had my banshee. I've rebuilt the top end 3 times, new crank, etc... I think it's the plastic water pump I have.
I am also a fan of ball joints on stock length suspension. Buttttttttt, RNBRAD posted pics of these new protective boots for the heim joints that make maintenece less of a worry for heim now. Do a search, you'll come across them.
Those cushions wear fast on any basket. I have a hinson and mine had some noticeable slop after 3 hard weekends. Not a lot, but you could tell there was wear already happening. Just a heads up. The rubber cushions were new and the basket was tight when I first put it in. They still have a lot to go before I'll change them out though.
WOW, thanks everyone, I didn't get a chance to log in last week. I'm 29 yrs young.
RNBRAD, you pic didn't come through or it was good enough the mods had to get rid of it .
Thanks again guys....... and gals
I guess it depends..lol. If you are getting good traction it would help. It revs faster on the bottom during acceleration. It can cause a loss of traction from the extra gain in acceleration. If you've ever noticed a lot of asphalt drag racers use pvl ignition. They don't use a flywheel.
