  1. son of a bitch man! I thought shops in Illinois try to break it off in a guys ass.
  2. id guess being that the rubber boot is there to block the cylinders coolant passage it couldn't cool properly. you don't need to know that, sounds like you may need to know something. could've fried that new top end if it was over heated enough.
  3. ive never done a plug chop with damaged reeds not sure, it would definitely make it run like hammered shit. make sure you do your plug chop properly.
  4. ^^^ this, vf4 reeds need a bigger pilot as well. ditch the 25, and try a 30. may want to read how to do a proper plug chop as well.
  5. first off, sprinklerman is right I misspelled patience. that's awesome man, and believe me if you have questions that your manual doesn't answer. well this site is full of guys who really know banshee shit! the guy who corrected my spelling def. one of them. a lot of these guys have forgot more then we may ever learn. just saw your thread, read 2-3k. I thought fuck that! good luck. don't forget about windy, really helpful guy.
  6. define patience. as like you get frustrated easily, don't have the time, don't want to wait? paying an ass load of money to take it to the stealer ship everytime its not running right, or needs something fixed will eventually cause you to lose your patience! its not as time consuming as you think, once you pay them to do it, and do it yourself, you will more then likely lose your patience, for knowing you paid them a god awful amount of money for something that's not that hard. as far as having to wait, its worth having some pros who know whats up, hook you up with exactly what you need for what you want. from my experience stealer ships are one hell of a wait, the longer they take the more they make. a lot of these experienced bhq guys will tell you if your not willing to learn about your banshee to choose a different bike. so call that dealership, tell them your coming to pick your banshee up, thanks for nothing they can rob someone else of hard earned money, get a clymers manual, get your tools out, and prepare to get them hands greasy.....jmo, and maybe a go kart shop before trinity lol
  7. 4000$, 20 minutes of ride time, you could start by finding the prick who flipped you over, and gave it to you raw! if your willing to take your time, and learn buy a clymers manual. disassemble it your self, and use a trusted site sponsor for all your upgrades, and services you need. you will learn what you need to know, and have the peace of mind of knowing how to properly maintain this machine. that will save you a lot of money as well, money to upgrade. im not windycityjohn, but theres always trinity
  8. I guess the good news is, well if your willing to pay that kind of money for that rebuild. well you can def. afford the most expensive aftermarket shit anyone makes. 2-3k DAMN!
  9. I didn't my first time..............................then a great guy on here told me, goddamn don't be a fucking lazy ass so on and so on. so 48 hrs later I did, hell he had me feeling so guilty I couldn't even start it , let alone ride it. rh side piston was missing about a half an inch of crown, but nothing in bottom end luckily. Im still an odd ball though.
  10. if you couldn't build more then a 100 psi with your original pistons in your original cylinders, why would you just replace pistons with the previous size? your cylinders could be wore the hell out man, your tester could be as well. another thing is that a advanced timing plate, I cant stand on my head long enough to really tell. you didn't advance your timing to much did you?
  11. lol, your a good sport troybrock. glad to see its still going.
  12. curious, did you rebuild your top end, or just bought the same size pistons. im sorry, buyed the same size pistons you had before and throw it back together? if so atleast you went cheap................namura really cheap! got any vids of that flame thrower?
  13. lol, kind of an inside joke/ smartass thing between me and troybrock. stems from an old thread, I wasn't saying that would fix it. just giving him a hard time.
  14. that's fucking amazing!
  15. yeah you have to split them, but ive read where guys leave the top end bolted on, and split the cases removing bottom case half only. heard its a little tricky to put back together. a leak down test is cheap to build, or you can buy a cheap home built leak down test off ebay for 30 bucks.
  16. I took what I read the wrong way, he actually didn't.
  17. wasn't aware you could bore, and hone nikasil cylinders. I noticed you said aluminum in your cylinders. x2 on finding the reason for failure, or it will be a repeat of what you already have at the moment. I learned my lesson with local shops boring, and honing cylinders. maybe a few good ones in your area, but none in mine. to me its bhq sponors, or bust.
  18. damn, that's got to be a badass scar man................fuuuuuuuuuuuck!
  19. im surprised you were able to type that, with all the semen in your big blue eye.......................pussy, ill rip your lips off and kiss my ass with them shits! now piss off crocodile Dundee, and good ah to ya matte!
  20. wow, what a thread. yes im a follower as well, every guy on here is cooler then the other side of a pillow. all I can say, is you can buy them books for school to learn what they can, buy them a donkey to ride, and carry the books to school so they don't have to walk, and at the end of the day what do they do? stand on the books, and fuck the donkey!
  21. compression test. leakdown test, and post a video of the engine running. that way these guys can hear it, and give you the input you need.
  22. 105 psi, isn't that great. could be a pilot issue, but you should do a leak down test. make a kit, or buy one. you were given the banshee for free so buying the material to make a leak down tester isn't going to hurt you at all. search around on here you will find how to make a leak down tester, and racing stand up jet skis has nothing to do with these machines, or this site. just putting that out there, there are awesome, and experienced banshee guys on here, that will help you out.
  23. trickedcarbine posted a very good check list to do. you need to buy a clymers manual, or download, or look at one on this forum. has it had this problem since you purchased it? what the hell does the youd held mean? your looking for pick up gap, and rust build up on the timing nubs on your flywheel. you need to check your flywheel, and key. im not the most qualified person to be answering your questions, but you def. need to check everything, and report back. there are some very experienced guys on here that can help you out, if you check what they ask, and report back, then they can help you out even more.
  24. I see, read that wrong. tapping the hell out of it was worth a try. me and my buddy had to do it over and over before it would spark, we couldn't swap cdi's due to different connector plugs on mine vs his. have you checked out your flywheel? ive heard coils rarely fail, just what I heard. if you haven't checked everything out, then do so, and then re check it all again. you may be surprised at what you could've over looked.
