I recently picked up a 99 Banshee and the choke plunger would not stay out on it's own. I checked around and the only fix I could find was to buy the new plunger for $40, or manually hold the choke when needed. Being that I plan on upgrading carbs this winter, I didn't want to drop $40 into the stockers.
So, I called up Advance Auto and had them deliver an assorted box of E-Clips, Dorman part number 784-632.

I found one in the package that snapped around the plunger and then ground the edges down so that the dust boot could fit back over it. Now my choke works in all positions, I'm not sure how long it will last but as of now, it works perfectly for a total cost of $2.39.
