  2. With the elkas I did not like the lift you get when you gas it, it just feels weird.
  3. I have not had time to check yet, wouldn't going with a smaller base gasket make the squish even tighter ? Fast recommended a .45-.50

  5. I don't know about the customer service yet at fox but I had elka stage 3 before and did not like them, I just purchased some fox evols and man they are the bomb
  6. I ordered a new front end so will be selling this metal tech +3 forward stock width a arms with chrome spindles and aluminum tie rods. Does not include: frame bolts/ dust covers/ sleeves/shocks/calipers/hubs. $450
  7. I am ordering 39mm carbs so will not be doing any more testing until I get the lockout on and the bigger carbs, thank you for trying to help.
  8. I know now that I need bigger carbs, Shawn was thinking maybe it looked like the 170 was lean because it was so rich it was washing the plugs
  9. I am going to be checking squish today and have not tried more timing yet. and yes with 152 it rips, I called Fast and they recommended 152 as well. I have not done a plug chop with the 152 yet. Yesterday was test and tune at the track so I brought my yfz and was pleased with running a 5.09 for my best time, I am hooking to hard and wheeling, I do not have a wheelie bar.

Yes all OEM ignition, problem has not been resolved yet, checking clutch set up next and installing a lockout. seems to run the best so far with 152 jets and 45 pilots but still will not launch from a dead stop with dirt tires. Sprinkles, you can keep your comments to yourself if you can control yourself.

  12. what ever, I new you were trouble from the start, you've been around and I have seen how you treat everyone. Thanks for your opinion anyways.
  13. Buy a clue, you need to buy a clue, It is my motor and I can try and trouble shoot it first if I wish, if I blow it up then that is my problem. I never said it was carb issues, I only posted what the motor was and everyone else just about said carb jets too big.

He did not totally build this motor, I purchased it used, he tore it apart and fixed all the wrong crap in it and reassembled it, if that makes a difference, I asked on here before he could look at it so I was trying to trouble shoot it while I was waiting for a open spot with him. He has it now.
  16. Yup your suggestion did not go unheard, I ordered a lock up and if you followed my posts you will see when the bike was being dropped off at shawns, so I am confused about your last remarks.

I am not taking these guys word on it, only getting the suggestions. shawn said the plug chop I did on it yesterday with a 170 main said it is still a tad lean I did one with a 168 also and you could not see any color on it so the next one is a 172 But when switching to DEK needles will that change it as well ? If you look on sudcos website the 33pwk stock uses a bigger main then the 35 and 39 so a lot of these guys are comparing the 33 with the 35 and 39
  20. 170 mains is still too lean, I do not have a 172 so I need to order them and I am going to order the DEK needles, Will that change the jetting ?

  22. sleeper, are you saying it needs a .012 base gasket or are you saying it might be set up for a 12, Shawn did use a .020 Were do I get the DEK needles at and I am looking at a used lock out now. I did try many different jets today from 162-175 and no luck I am dropping the bike off tomorrow to shawn but have a feeling it will not be ready by Thursday for the drag test and tune at Michigan atv nationals next weekend.
  23. needle is a CG L , my daughter read it for me and it was worn, the other side was readable. I will post what the results were once I find out.
  24. I talked to shawn and he said he thought the plug chop with the 168 looked lean and he could not see a timing mark. base gasket .20 squish he thought was 40 but could not find his notes at the time. He did not like the idea of +6 timing He is going to run the bike and try some things Sat.
