  1. Yeah i just got the chain side cut and now i think my blade is dull.
  2. Replacing the swinger bearings and bolt and possibly the swing arm but the mofo is seized. And when i get this thing out, anyone have a nice used extended swing arm for sale?

Im doing a little spring cleaning on the banshee and was wondering, can i eliminate the wire that comes off the brake lever (looks like its for the brake light) and the wire that is where the thumble throttle housing is. Is it for the tors and if so, i have that removed? Can you just unplug those wires and take them off. Also, whats the best way to tuck all these wires on the frame? Any pics would be helpful

  5. Yeah im getting it ported and getting a chariot head with 21cc domes.
  6. Anyone ever went with this kit. The reason im getting it is because it comes with the stroker pistons. Also, does this expensive bastard bolt straight up? Any suggestions are appreciated.

  9. So i believe im gonna go with the 4 mil crank. What else am I gonna need besides the bearings and clutch. Please list all. BTW, the port job im doing is a dune port.

  11. I am very familiar with two strokes. Mainly dirt bikes, never fooled with a banshee even though its easier because it doesnt have the powervalve my rm250 has. That thing was a bitch.
  12. 300 for the bore and port. Dune port and .20 over bore depending on the specs of the cylinder. Its an 03 and has never been rebuilt.
  13. No I am gonna bore and port. I was just looking for a little extra. Im a bit skittish about redoing the crank. I've done plenty of top end work, no bottom end though. And there are no shops around where I live that would put a new crank in. I just want this thing to pack a punch because im starting to get used to it and want more.

  15. Ok, getting a big tax refund back and planning beefing up my 03 Banshee. Its completely stock except for the FMF fatty's. I was wondering what are the best mods (save porting/boring because im doing that). I was either gonna go with a new head or vforce reeds. Which one would be better for the dollar. And if it happens to be a aftermarket head, which one and what domes should I run? I really dont want to run race fuel, so anything under 20cc is out of the question. 1000 ft above sea level. Doing a new rebuild after winter. Thanks guys

  17. Thinking of getting a port job for my 03. Its getting about time for a rebuild. I was wondering what port job i should have or should i buy juggs that are already ported and bored. I ride mostly on straight away roads (dirt and pavement). Also, do I need to get a different head with smaller domes?   19. Can anyone give me an indication of how to route the throttle cable. Ive tried different ways but it seems just a little tight and everytime i turn the bars right, it revs. I was just wondering if anyone had a diagram because i cant find one on the internet anywhere.
  20. Well my goal was to rebuild and put all the parts from my 03 that i traded out and put them on the 87 and try to resell it for more than i paid for it. Or just keep it as a back up.
  21. I bought a 1987 banshee (for the parts) from a mechanic that owns a bike shop. The owner of the bike brought it to him to rebuild and never paid. Long story short, i paid 350 for it. He said the top end is shit but the bottom end is still in good shape. I was wondering if it would be worth rebuilding. Everything else body-wiseis in great shape. I have 3 different cylinders(which look to have no gouges or scratches, 3 heads, and only the clutch is apart at the current moment, but i have all the parts. Also, he gave me everything that he ordered for the guy for free so the only thing i would be paying for would be the rebuild kit and the honing of the cylinders.
  22. Fatty's and k&n air filter. Thats it. I live in georgia, so 1000 feet and I did a test in 3rd gear (half to 3/4 throttle). If i put WOT, i didnt mean to.
  23. Just swapped the single keihin for twin mikunis. 300 main 25 pilot needle in middle a/s is 1.25 turns out Did a 3rd gear WOT plug test and its a little lean. Should i change the pilot or move the needle up a slot?
  24. Well i don't have the means to do a leak down test yet.
  25. Yeah im gonna check the reeds this weekend and that nightmare trinity intake.
