  1. My bike is only firing on 1 cylinder @ WOT. 1/2 to 3/4 throttle is runs awesome but as soon as I go WOT it drops 1 cylinder. Did my plug chop thinking maybe it's due to jetting??? FMF Fatty pipes 4mil ported? (at least that's what I was told by the PO) Coolhead (unsure of dome size) 2-1 Intake w/ 38mm PWK -162 main - 60 pilot - Elevation 820 Temp 65F Compression is written next to the plugs in the pic

  3. Ya, I gave up. Too much overtime at work right now and not enough time to play with my toys at home. I took it to a local shop to have them jet it for me. I've been wrenching on stuff for 12-13 years, just never had to do any jetting. I plan on learning this summer and have been reading a lot on here. My main problem is just not knowing where to start or what jets to order. Once I get the bike back and the jetting is close to where it should be, I should have no problems in the future. I just didn't have the time or confidence to try it this time.
  4. I gave up. I'm getting all the overtime I want at work right now. So instead of coming home to work on my banshee, I had a friend take it to a local shop to get jetted so I could stay at work and keep making $
  5. So I just ordered my Elkas today from Precision Powersports. Apparently Elka just jacked up the price on all their stuff, $525 for stage 1. That's what I get for taking 3 weeks to decide what to buy...
  6. I'm going to be purchasing a a new set of front shocks this week. I'm pretty set on some elkas, either stage 1 or 2's unless someone knows of anything better for a comparable price. I mainly jsut ride trails so I dont need anything extreme. Where is the cheapest/best place to buy some at?

    I'm looking at a few cheap used sets of works shocks for now. Then maybe in a few months ordering some new elkas. Im just a cheap ass and don't want to spend that much $ right now.

    I just bought a used set of Lonestar +3 a-arms today, now I need shocks. I'm trying to find some used shocks and I was wondering if shocks that are set up for +2 arms will work with these, or am I stuck actually spending some money and buying new?

  13. I'd go with the really rich option. I put it in, rode about 1/4 mile, turned around and did 1-6 wot back to the shop
  14. ok, took it apart. It's clean, main jet looks like it says AB162, Pilot is 60
  15. Elevation is 819, 50 degrees out. It wasn't cutting out, just no power in the top end. No clue what the jets are, I wanted to see which way I need to go with them before opening it up to look and ordering new ones. (don't really know what I'm doing...) And i did the 1-6 wot then killed it, but i didn't hold the throttle open after i killed it, I guess I'll try again next week when I have time.
  16. I just did my first ever plug chop. When I did it, the bike felt like it was bogging down at high RPM's, had no power. Mods are: 4 mill cool head FMF fatties 2-1 intake w/ 38mm pwk 6" pod w/ outerwear Boyseen reeds stock cages I don't even know if I'm too rich or lean, this is my first attempt at jetting.

  18. I just put a 2-1 intake on. Bike has FMF fatties, boyseen reeds in stock cages, PWK 38mm w/ pod. Suposedly 4mil, stock bore (just bought it and this is what I was told, haven't opened it up yet) I mix @ 32:1. I didn't look at what jets are in the carb, but I fired it up for about 30 seconds last night and it sounded pretty good. What size jets should I have in it for my mods?

  20. Just bought the carb. It's not even on yet. It had 2 mikuni 34's on it and they were junk.(threads on cap stripped, clip not on 1 needle. Slide spun in 1) Im switching to the 2-1 to make jetting/maintenance easier in the future
  21. 2-1 with single. My main problem is that I don't know what's done to the motor or where to start with the jets

  24. I've been reading alot about the jetting, but I dont know where to start. The guy I bought it from said it's a 4mil, but I dont trust him. I have no idea what's done in the engine and dont even know where to start with the jets. And to top it off I bought a 2-1 intake w/ a new carb so I'm starting from scratch with no clue what I'm doing. I'd just feel safer having someone who knows what they're doing work on it.
