  1. ha, right. lump the newbie in with your "ice god". That's jsut doesn't seem like much fun to me. Although it would be a good learning experience. Either of you ever have any work done by Passion? Was looking at them for my porting since they seem to be about the only ones not specializing in dune/drag setups. I've got pretty much everything but pistons and a head sitting in my basement waiting to be built. Then I'm trying to find another frame and build a second shee using my existing motor. Hopefully I can talk my gf into riding with me
  2. So I'm assuming there's not much for dirt flat track racing in wi during summer? Do u guys even ride at all during summer?
  3. SO from looking at the CRIWA site, the only class I'd be able to enter is the "Open" Amateur Quad right? Also been reading thru the rules on there, how strict are they on the db level? Just trying to get all my ducks in a row right now, once it gets closer to freezing I'm sure I'lll have tons more questions about dialing in the suspension and everything. And off the topic of ice, since you all seem to be way up in the northwoods. Do you trail ride at all in the summer? I've been taking a few trips up to the Hurley area and love it up there.
  4. Now you're just scaring me away from trying to race. Sounds like I'd just be embarrassing myself out there trying to learn I'm definitely going to have to at least come up there to watch sometime tho
  5. I moved to Lodi, less than a half mile off of lake Wisconsin. As of right now I don't have any plans for racing. There doesn't seem to be much very close to me. But if I can find one to try, my axle is adjustable and I just have a stock cyl 4 mil so I should be fine for engine restrictions.
  6. They were just the cheapest stg 1 elkas so I think its only preload adjustment. Been watching for a sway bar on here, rrl just beat me to one that I wanted...
  7. So would some type of a lowering link be a better option for the rear? I'm not planning on racing at this point, but if I'm able to find any nearby it night be fun to give it a shot.
  8. thanks, any recommendations for the front tires?
  9. I ran works on my last shee with stock arms. My new one has +3 arms w/ elkas. The elkas feel way better.
  10. I just moved to a new place right on a good sized lake so i plan on riding there every chance I get this winter. I'd like to set it up so I'm nice and stable on the ice and don't have to worry as much about flipping it. Already have LS +3+1 arms. durablue+4 axle. Wheelman-1 swingarm. Elka stg1 front shocks. And just ordered some chen shings for the rear ( thinking 1" kold kutters) Would the r6 rear shock and turning my elkas all the way down get me low enough? Should I get a sway bar? And suggestions would be great. Thanks
  11. I just ordered my -1 from wheelman. Super cheap and great guy to deal with.
  12. When is it? Mine is way too slow to race, but I'd consider coming just to watch...
  13. just got back from a trail ride last weekend in northern Wisconsin. rough as hell up there and i pounded the shit out of my banshee. put on over 170 miles in 2 days and had no problems.
  14. pics to [email protected] or 608-617-8007
  15. Thanks. Just ordered one
  16. Not looking for any junk. Needs to be in good condition. Let me know what you've got
  17. damn, i wish that were closer to me...
  18. Adjust your pancake bearing right the first time, taking it apart the second time is depressing!

  19. So once I finally got my new banshee to run right, I realized my clutch was slipping in 4-6 at the top end. I ordered a new clutch from Jeff @ F.A.S.T that should be at my house when I get home from work tonight. I got new basket, hub, plates, pancake bearing. Hopefully everything I need to get it back together. I've been reading thru my Clymers manual and watching youtube videos and I think I should do pretty good with everything. I'm going to soak the plates in my oil before putting them in, light oil on all moving parts, new gaskets. Are there any suggestions to do things better or avoid common mistakes? My big question is the adjustment of the pancake bearing, I've been doing a decent ammount of searching and can't find much info on this. Are there any links you can direct me to? Or a quick write up?
  20. He said he swapped wires and it still did it which would rule out boots right?
  21. I just had a similar problem. Mine was fixed by adjusting float levels and I was a bit lean so I went up on my main jet. Runs a lot better now but still not perfect
  22. x2 I wanna see this shit. Actually, I just want to see the tool that wrote this add. Must be a pro race mechanic or something
  23. So I normally wouldn't waste my time reposting something like this. But this is probably one of the best I've seen, shaved plastics to reduce wind drag, custom wheelie bar, clocked at 95mph while in a wheelie. Also love the lowered and stretched bit...looks stock to me... http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/mcy/2954851928.html
  24. Damn, wish I had known you had ths when I bought your crank. Probably would have taken it all off your hands. Oh well, someone will snatch it up quick I'm sure Good seller, great price
  25. When you gonna have some more parts for sale that I need? Great guy to deal with. Prompt replies, great prices, awesome parts. The package was beat to hell when I got it from USPS, but with his exceptional packaging skills, my parts were fine. Very fast shipping and it was insured. Can't wait to buy some more parts from him. Thanks G-man
