  2. timing plate is pretty cheap and is a good mod. porting is a huge gain in performance. but its not so cheap. 200-500$ depending on type/builder. and pistons. go pro lite by wiseco. or if ur not getting ported right away a vitos superstock piston is the way to go.

  4. the 34's bottom end wasnt bad on trails, but it also wasnt good. thats what i meant by to much.

  6. its weird how my stock carbs seemed better than my 28pwks. but they didnt compare to the 34's up top. so maby 32mm carbs would be good?
  7. ive ran stock carbs, 28mm, and 34mm carbs. what size carb would be best for 60%trails, 30% Draging in fields and 10% road riding? The 28mm's werent enough, but the 34mm's were a bit to much. opinions on what size carbs i need?

  10. athenas are only good running cylinders if u have them ported. which is an additional $300+ depending on type. what i would do is post a wanted ad here for a top end. look for someone selling ported cylinders, thatll be a big power difference. thats just my opinion.

  15. well so far, i had a guy paint the stator cover and the clutch cover to match the plastics, that looks alot better. im still takin ideas though.

  17. reading around, i see a chip upgrade to free up power and give me some better fuel milage, ive never really tried it before. so what kind of chip should i get?
  18. i have a stock wiseco crank, trued and welded. it has been abused hard. i got it 3 months ago, brand new when i rebuilt my bottom end. been trail riding, hill climbin and beatin on my bike and its still strong. wiseco gets my vote.

  21. i know ill beat him, yes he is a dumbass. his name is todd...... or retodd as i call him. his previous bike was a trx250ex small kids bike. i know a plain old banshee could do the job, but would love for him to see a bike like tylers... that even after seeing his "611r" videos he thinks he could take "he spins to much, id loose him by the time he got traction" hahaha i will hopefully be posting a video of our race or atleast pics!

  23. ok, heres the situation: my bosses son got a 2008 yfz450. completey stock. he said the following to me today "it did 140mph up hill in 3rd gear, no quad is faster ill dust you" the guy is 32yrs old and rides like a blind 6yr old. my banshee has the following mods: hjr dune port, coolhead 20cc domes, pro lite pistons, cylinders bored to 65mm, +5 timing, vf3 reeds, 28mm carbs, drilled air box, no lid, pro flow filter and adapter, 15/41 gearing, lightened flywheel, and im a good rider. who do you guys think will winn??
