  1. fffffffffffffffff............... Damn i was hoping i didnt need to do that, Well.... ****.... Thanks. Now I do not want to assume im going to be lazy and not get the problem solved but is this the only way i can do to solve this? Or is there any other option to hold off for a while... Not even a few months on a fresh rebuild
  2. Np, i was just suprised lol i didnt think i was meaning that since the pipes were black they were stock (including any aftermarket pipes that are black)
  3. Hey HQ, I have oil coming out on the top of my case (i believe to be coming out of the clutch arm or release lever which ever one it is called) because i noticed it and so i got one the rubber oil seals (based off my clymers manual im assuming this is the problem) but here is the question, Is this just a fix from the top or is there more to it then that? Thanks guys. Also how i know this is the problem is because i wiped the top clean and after riding it around (i assumed it was just dirty) i noticed the arm was covered in oil and around it.
  4. Wait what? I know that.... My t5's are black do i think they are stock? since they are black?, No.........
  5. Is it possible to get a side view picture and it being kind of up close? Like on the motor and the pipes?
  6. Lol they do not look stock, arn't the stock ones black and well... look stock.
  7. I didn't tell you how to clean the filters, i said how to prevent them from getting dirty. Im assuming you have pods and im assuming the carbs can get dirty from the pods. Im not sure what carbs you have but if it possible for dirt to flow up the overflow tubes into the bowl then i would just tape the ends off.. I never had an issue with getting carbs dirty from storing them over long periods of time. But im just trying to help out .
  8. Wait you rode it till it had no more gas in it?... I do not think that is good.... I would of just rode it till i can drain a little out, running the carbs dry while its running is not good. Well depending on where you store it i just put a bag over my filters (like a plastic bag) and make sure it is tight and the air is out (excess bag i just stuff between the filters) I do not know if it is good for it or not but it works for me I live where dirt and dust gets everywhere so doing this saves me from cleaning my filters everytime i want to ride it...
  9. Yeah im sure people will give you different opinions, im no expert im still new and only 15... But as i know of there are only two main oils case and premix... Unless you run oil on your K and N filters. I would just make sure it seems ok to ride, but i would make sure your jetting is right and it runs good but if it runs good then you shouldn't have any problems, well any major problems. Check tires, rims, brakes, if it turns ok, etc. Was it just recently rebuilt? If not then you might want to do a compression test. Also what does it have on it? Pipes, carbs, and cylinder work, head work, etc...
  10. Welcome, For oils are you talking about premix or what you put in the crankcase? People will tell you mixed opinions on both of these but i run Castor 927 @ 32:1 with 91 premium pump gas. I use Bel Ray GearSaver in my case. Some people do not run that resevour on their radiators but i am still new so i couldn't tell you what coolant to put.
  11. Someone should ask him how much the pistons he put in their cost. Nice shee though.
  12. You can always pull apart the carb, for the idle, air fuel, etc. just count how many screws in it goes, and when you go to set it, just screw out how many times you wrote down they screw in MAKE SURE YOU WRITE IT DOWN. You can also check the needle position while you have the slide out of the carb just make sure you dont mess with the floats or bend them.
  13. I could see it now... Cruising to comp hill at Dumont on one of those, somehow managing the 100 whoop di doo's, making sure you don't get ran over by a rail or people in a side by side for that matter day time or at night....
  14. until we know your elevation, all your mods and your jetting we can help you better on what you want to do, etc. Do you have a manual?
  15. You should be safe to run pump gas, for the domes i believe it is 21cc+ (22,23, etc.) that you can run pump depending on elevation and mods. I run 91 premium and my mods are in my sig. Like I said im no expert so if someone corrects me listen to them, Im not familair with aftermarket reeds but if they are carbon fiber they are different then the stock ones unless the stock ones are carbon fiber but i have seen modified stock cages for different reeds. If your worried about pump gas i have a cousin who has a cool head, dune/play port, wiesco pistons (not sure which ones), and t5's and he runs 91. If you want to go with a pump gas set up then i wouldn't reconmend thinking about running VP for the heck of it once in a while. I have also heard the gas you use depends on your compression but there are mixed opinions about that...
  16. To check the needle position you take the slide out and see what the needle is clipped at it (you count where the clip from the top it is at there will be notches were a clip goes over to hold the needle.), you generally have to compress the spring to be able to get the needle and the throttle cable out and/or whatever is holding it down. With elevation im sure you can search a elevation finder.
  17. Im no expert but i have heard that around 100-105 it is time for a rebuild... (don't take my word for it). Also if all it has is pipes and a carb you should be safe to run 93.
  18. Oh ok im no expert either but i just threw it out there since you said by the kickstarter.
  19. Thanks 06, Lol loma linda thats like 30-45 mins away from where i live.
  20. Ok and you had to do nothing to modify it? I run the stock plastics do you think i would still be able to run them? or is it one of those doesnt matter. Im just making sure so sorry for the 100 questions.
  21. Hey HQ, Do they make a big difference? I saw in the shoutbox someone was planning on getting this one Oversized Radiator So im assuming it is a good deal? If it is a bolt straight on with no fab then i might consider getting one... But if it is a scam then nevermind.. Also another question is will any changes to the stock hoses will be needed to change?
  22. That is funny you mention that because a guy came over to my house yesterday saying i was flying down our road creating a ton of dust and noise when I was not even messing around i was cruising down the street... I live on a dirt road in (Phelan, CA) and at the end of our road the dirt road goes into a trail and i can follow that trail into a major dirt road where there are no houses (where i can ride)... so I was coming back to our house and I was going down the street and as I pull into our driveway (everything is dirt... driveways, streets, backyards, etc.) and I see this guy pulling up on the street calling me to come over, well so I did and he tells me how my quad is loud picking up dust everywhere and that I was hauling down the street and that he would call the cops on me if i did it again.... Then he tells me it is illegal to ride on paved roads or dirt roads up here, this is about at 4 pm sun is still shining....... Well honestly I do not know if it is or not considering it is a public dirt road (im finding out about this) but it makes me wonder when the dirtbike "Crew" that occasionally fly up and down our street if he goes after them I guess if your on a banshee or a two stroke for that matter everybody is out to stop you .... Well first complaint for me guys... But for now I know a sheriff who is a good friend a street down and i will see about the laws of riding up here... If it is illegal I will stop... EDIT: im also not that teenager who goes out and tries to fly down the street showing off, I try to ride slow so I do not get dirt in people yards and get complaints like this guy....
