  1. Nothing to see here, keep moving along... Just joking, sorry about that, I was taken over by the dark side
  2. So I guess you decided not to swap the carb set- up Well at least I've got a polished set now. Good luck with it, glad to hear you got it running Welcome to the disease
  3. If it is, I'll get to see that drag Shee of your's in person then, when I roll up to snag it. Hope the Holidays treat you right.
  4. I wish this was middle of Jan instead of Dec. You are only a little over an hour from my house....Timing is never on my side
  5. This is serious SHIT!! I had this happen to me when i was TIG welding the bleed holes up in some diesel injector bodies. Guy with me had cleaned them with brake cleaner without me knowing, i thought he had rinsed them in water for the final wipe down. I remember that chlorine taste and smell, it was overwhelming! I was so so sick for 4 months, I was in and out of emergency rooms 6-7 times from my adrenal glands fucking up and kicking me in to panic attacks, sometimes while I was asleep, but no one could figure out why. If you've never had a full blown Panic Attack it's hard to understand, but you could pass a polygraph if some asked you if you were about to die. That has been 3 yrs ago, I was only exposed to the phosgene for maybe 25 seconds , and I still take 4 differrent medicines everyday and will still have an occasional attack, plus constant sinus problems and I get bronchitis 1-2 a year. Please pay attention to this, my wife cried off and on for 4 months because she thought I was dying (i thought I was as well) plus it has changed me. I'm not physically the same as I was before, and never will be. It has had a huge impact on my life, and I hope no one ever has to deal with it. It should be more common knowledge than it currently is, especially with so many more home garages having Argon in them due to TIG being more popular than ever due to the current machines that make it easier to do and less expensive than before. I know MSDS sheets are available and labels state the dangers, but everyone gets complacent and forgets about the dangers of the chemicals around us. How many people read the warnings on every can or box they pick up, let alone go get a MSDS, especially in a home garage? I just hope people read this thread and keep this in mind.
  6. I wished I lived close enough to go, I'd love to go to one of those events. At least you both agree that the Banshee is KING! By the way Wacko, I think your bike is wicked!
  7. You both should be glad I'm not jumping in there..... You'd both be laughing at me so hard, you couldn't ride for shit..WFO!!!! Loco, is Zilla sponsoring you with injection next year?
  8. Bitchin'! How much HP do you expect to pickup with the DM?
  9. So this is what, a 65 hp set-up? Just curious
  10. Is there any common knowledge available to how much longer my shocks need to be with my +3+1. I but my stockers on and the front was just too low. Is there a ratio that tells you how much to add to the shock length for every inch added to a-arm length to sustain stock ride height. I know it's not a 1 to 1 ratio. I searched and couldn't find anything but guesses ( I probably just overlooked the answer on here, if so, I apologize) Thanks, Lonny
  11. Do you still have the white plastics? If so how much?
  12. I think post written like those are an immediate indicator of age, most of the time. I see the texts that my kids & their friends exchange and believe speed is more important than spelling. It's almost as if they have a new form of English that requires as little effort as possible. But, mine have learned to spell properly when they text me or I will ignore them. I would hope that an adult would at least have enough self respect to put effort into their spelling. That said, it is funny though, thinking of someone who spells like that working on something mechanical, & imagining their attention to detail...
  13. shit shit shit! I didn't see this.
  14. I hate myself for missing this..... That sounds like it was a fucking blast, with the potential to get nothing but better! The result of all these pics and talking has made me do this... instead of riding in this good weather, it went under the knife and has been gutted, blank slate. I already wasn't fast enough, now I want to step up and build something that will be worth showing up with. I'm not foolish enough to believe I can run with the builders and sponsors bikes, but I'm shooting for as bitchin' as I can get. Project 5150 is on now!! And I'm stoked! ( I'll probably be an epic fail, lol, but I'd at least I'm trying! )
  15. I hate it for you guys that the weather is being such a little bitch about it and messing with the weekend. Like I've said, never been on sand before, buy I imagine it just packs the shit out of it. Just for future reference, after a rain(I know It depends on how much rain fell), but in general, how long does it take the dunes to be back to normal. I'm sure wind and sun lessen the time tremendously, but just on average.
  16. I've been a memer of 10-11 different forums dealing with turbo's/ mustangs and diesels over the last 10-11 years. When I got my Banshee and came here, I quickly realized this is hands down the best forum that I've ever had the privilege to be part of. There is so much knowledge here, it's a handicap to have a Shee and not be a member. These guys are full of experience and will steer you in the right direction. The Sponsors and Vendors associated with HQ are the best in the business ( performance and customer service) and that says alot right there, they know where to advertise.. BEST thing is to do is, take a while and just use the search feature to find every question you have. Every question has already been asked 30 times, so it's already laid out before you. Also as others have said, and you'll find out, your bike's about where you need it to start off with... Mine ran fine when I got it then signed on here and immediately tore it all apart, hahaha. I can't wait to get mine back together, to realize what it truly can be. In stock form, there is so much unlocked potential that is fairly easily to acheive with the use of the search button. Glad to have you around, hope to ride with ya sometime. Lonny
  17. I read the title and thought this was a post about my ex- wife for a minute. She turned out to be McDonalds of crank servicing..... Didn't mean to derail, but I read that and couldn't stop laughing. Back to the serious business......
  18. My new paddles and fronts will be here monday, I'm wanting to go bad, but money's so damn tight. I hate that companies can wait 60-90 days to pay contractors, so if i do make it i'll be sleeping in the truck, which isn't a big deal. I'm more worried because I haven't touched my motor yet, been fixing the front end from where the guy who had it before me decided diamond j was a good idea. I know I'll be a joke out there with all you guys and your modded out Shee's. I've only had mine a few months and love it to death so I don't want to be known as "the guy on the shit-pile" Hell I've never even been on sand before to top it off.....
  19. Did you sell the banshee plastics
  20. Lookin' for front end parts!!!

  21. Have you had a chance to test it with the R shocks yet, I'm curious if a guy could buy some LT arms, and run R shocks until he he'd the bones to get some Axis. I've seen good condition R's go for 200 bucks because guys swap them out so quick when they race there 450's.
  22. Hell of a deal for $150, sweet score.
