  1. If you still have that stock clutch cover, I'd like to take it off your hands. Maybe I could come pick it up over there one of the next 2 weekends? I used to polish turbo housings all the time and have been wanting polish some things to put on my ride.
  2. I thought I would spend less money than I had been on cars, playing with this Shee!! NO CHANCE

  3. Thanks for the info, I had never seen the boots before. I new the more expensive Teflon lined hiems that I had used on car and truck rear ladder bars/ 4 links didn't make noise, but didn't know if it affected quads the same because of the drastic wieght / load difference. You could hear a car roll through the pits at the drag strip and tell he used th cheap ones from the squeaking at every little bump. My uncle has a Pro-Street 52 Chevy that I finally convinced to switch over to Teflon, because it was ridiculous driving down the street. Thank you for the clarification. Matt I will pm you soon about maybe talking to you on the phone so you could tell me the cost and what I need you to do to all 3 off my shocks. I weigh 215- 220 and hope you have springs better suited to me. Sorry about that last sentence being slightly off topic, but I just pitched it in real quick while I was replying about the hiems. Again, thank you guys for the knowledge, Lonny
  4. Cool, let me know about the full flights and tie rods Thanks, Lonny
  5. Price is cheap, and they are easily fixable. Didn't know if they are worth the trouble. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=270812419483&index=4&nav=SEARCH&nid=77726581913
  6. Do the high dollar Teflon coated ones squeak and pop just like the non-Teflon? Also does anyone know a tie rod end replacement that easily available like the ball joints NYUK listed?
  7. God that's beautiful, I wish I was to that point.... What HP range does a set-up like that usually produce, if you don't mind me asking. Thanks Lonny
  8. As is said in you other thread, if you do end up parting it out I am very interested in the full flight set- up as i have some yfz shocks and I'm getting ready to purchase the same set that you have. Just want to express my interest in the a-arms and tie rods, because as i said in the other thread, a arm set ups go QUICK around here, Lonny
  9. I apologize, my phone pulled this up in the iPhone mode( not full site ). When I opened it as a full site I read your intentions. If you do end up parting it out I am very interested in the full flight set- up as i have some yfz shocks and I'm getting ready to purchase the same set that you have. Again, I apologize for not making sure to read the entire post, but people jump on a arm set ups QUICK around here, Lonny
  10. Price on the full flight a-arms and tie rods.. Also On the dual pingel. Both prices shipped to 76126, thanks
  11. I found this while digging around, http://www.blasterforum.com/custom-fabbing-132/custom-balljoint-fix-stock-arms-39469/ 5th post down as well as the 9th post the guy said Tim at Stellar helped him out and that Stellar uses Ricky Stator ball joints with a Yamaha taper. Maybe you could get them there? The thread is only a couple months old, so I'd think it'd still be relevant. Hope that helps, Lonny
  12. Thanks for that info NYUK. I've read In threads on here, that ball joints are better than hiems to run if it gets real wet and/or muddy. It would be worth having a set in the truck to be able make a change to suit conditions. One question, would ball joints also be better in sand ( because they're sealed ) than hiems? I've never ridden sand but I'm trying to make it to LS in October and try to make my Shee to where it will be as fun and trouble free as possible. Hope this wasn't too far off topic..
  13. Thanks boss, I'll go check it out! I firgured sombody had already took this on. Does any one know off hand what a Shee engine/tranny weighs as compared to a modern fo-fifty? Thanks, Lonny
  14. I don't know if it's been done or tried already, but props to ya for choppin' it up and trying it. I seriously hope it works out and isn't too nose heavy. You'll damn sure stand out in a crowd!! Good luck, I'll be watchin'.. wish I was helping! Lonny
  15. I've been considering a build like this, quite a bit actually. Since nobody will produce a modern 2 stroke race/play quad, I figured why not just make my own. One thing I have been wondering is, what is the weight difference between a stock 350 Shee engine and a modern 450 racer engine. And also how much weight does moving up to a 421 serval or 485 Cheetah add to a stock 350 engine? Thanks, Lonny
  16. It's a complete frame, but thanks for the tip. That's sounds like as close to free shipping as I've ever seen for something that size! Thanks, Lonny
  17. That's good to know too. The only reason i've used UPS is because my brother runs a warehouse that has an account with them, and he ships stuff for me using his discount. I'll have to check with Fedex to see if I'm really saving that much. Thanks boss
  18. Cool thanks, I just read that somewhere else too. I had no idea you could use them to ship. I guess the downside would be no tracking #, but apparently they are fairly dependable. Does it take a lot longer than shipping something standard ground?
  19. I was talking to a member local to me ( DFW) about the cost and best way to ship a complete frame. He got a quote of a couple hundred bucks from UPS for going from DFW to the east coast, and I was just wondering if this was reasonable. Having never shipped a quad frame, I have no idea. Is there a better or preferred way that you guys use to move frames? Thanks, Lonny
  20. Bought a set of front wheels and tires from hp2000 and they were exactly as he described them. Shipped them out fast so I could get them in time for a weekend ride. He took them to the UPS store and called me so I could use my brother's account to ship them, which was much appreciated because it saved me some cash. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again and would encourage anyone else to do the same. Thanks HP, Lonny Lynn
  21. (2 stocks a-arms with spindles, brake rotars, brake calipers, tie rods and ends and both shocks. All parts connected together I just unbolted them and replaced them with +3 fullflights and other spindles. Both for $140 shipped.) Are these still available? If so and it includes foth left and right sides, I'll buy them for $140 shipped.
  22. Are the a-arms and spindles still there, if so how $ and are they in good shape ? I tried to PM , but it wouldn't let me. Thanks
  23. I live in Arlington not to far away from Kennedale. Do you mind dropping me a line when ya'll go back out there. I would like to check it out. Man I know this is an old post, but I damn near fell out of the chair when I read Kennadale, TX!! I spent more time out there than at home for a long time racing on Friday nights! I remember seeing a couple of Banshees run there and even more up at Denton. I know they surprised me with their quickness and that bithchin' pipey sound. There was a guy who used to come in the Jamieson fence, where I worked in the back fabbing and welding industrial and ornamental gates. He used to talk to a guy named Jason at the counter about draggin' Shee's and streched out chassis. If the guy from around Ft. Worth is still around here, please pm or contact me. I'd love to go out to the track when you do, check out your bike or just shoot the chit. We might know some of the same people?? I love going to Kennadale, spent many nights racing and watching the ProMods run. Even remember when two Top Fuel Dragsters showed up one night from over at Ennis. I got to sit next to Gary Scelzi in the stands and hear his stories of Sand drags in the old days, class act and a great guy. Sorry to go so far off topic, that just kicked up some memories. Thanks, Lonny Lynn
  24. That's a good looking Shee you got there, I like the colors, but i like the mods even more. 421 Serval long rod, +2+1 a-arms, fox floats ......damn that's exactly where I plan to be. Was it all worth it? Do you just destroy the thumpers you come across? Anyway, thanks for the heIp, I set up a photobucket account and it worked like a champ, now I just have to work on shrinking the pics a bit more so I'm not taking up half a page (sorry fellas ) I'm working on that.
