i had a leak in the same area, it was a brand new seal too, changed it and it stopped leaking

ya there pretty black, the carbs prob need some TLC, good idea to clean the air filter also, and even a leakdown on the motor. -

take a look at your axle bearings, i couldnt run 22" bearclaws because my shee shook like hell in the higher gears, changed the bearings and no more shaking.
