ontario banshee stock head shave question

i took .030 off my head and added +4 timing on 93 pump gas, woke it up a little bit. i would say go for it and shave the head, they are easy to take off and head gaskets are $10. thats all ive done to my stock engine, no other mods needed when i shaved the head -

i just had a similar issue, but mine would constantly puke fuel from the vent/overflow. the needle and seat were dirty, it also over fueled that cylinder enough to stop it from firing, this would be the loss of power you are feeling

when the carbs sit dry sometimes the gaskets to the bowls dry and crack on you. i dunno if this is a problem with banshees but some of the older bikes it used to happen to. i never had a issue on the banshee tho and yes the cases have a drain in them, open the bowl drain and let it drain

if the carbs is draining when the gas is on then the right cyl will run out of fuel before the left, you will notice a power loss if the fuel flows out quicker then it can fill the bowl. stop running the quad, chances are you will lean the right side out and cause a meltdown

not being mean at all lol. search ethanol, lots of info on it when i searched rebuilding it, nothing "happend" but to make a long story short i bought a kx250 that was suposed to be good but needs a topend

figured i would toss one of these up, im bored and love to post pics. the day i bought it rode it a while like that then i stripped it down to repaint the frame and replace some worn parts chopped front fenders then some new a-arms fullflight +2+1 rear fenders cut and stickers removed and now how she finally sits, repainted frame to a brighter red and got some new plastics that i painted satin black

First thing you should always do if you want to run heims is get rid of those garbage heims they put in there. American Star sells the direct teflon replacements.

yeah im gunna get some better heims, i figured they wouldnt last with all the complaints about them

my HB one works just fine, maybe 1psi off compaird to name brand but i do agree, try a good name brand tester and compair
