stock carbs? i would start with a 27.5 pilot and around a 280 main there is a sticky with lots of jetting info . check it out

gap plugs to .020 go down on main unless its ported.

i agree that the compression should be higher than that with 19cc at sea level. sounds like topend needs freshed up.

I wish this was sooner i am ready to ride.. getting anxious to meet some cool people and race around with some badass banshees. Im just praying for good weather! If things pan out the way i think the people who run the drags are expecting there grandbaby the weekend before and they might move the race to this weekend. It wont be bad because friday dayand and sunday we should have no problems dominating the drag track. Then sat we can check out some fast drag bikes. Ill find out more as the date gets closer. I will also be calling them for the reservation in the next couple weeks.does anyone else gonna try and make it?

Honda doesnt make a banshee motor.. maybe you should consider a different project. Heavy motor and drifting dont usually go together

I would be worried about him using those 17cc domes even with race gas and he didnt mention it. i dont think he is far from sea level so im sure its on the edge. Also i dont like blue.. lol Edit - probobly why he just rebuilt it!

not unless the gap is way to big.. i usually do around .020 likely you have other issues but doesnt hurt to check the plugs.

i have been using atf type f for some time now.. no problems besides having to change is every few rides. i dont go more than 5 or 6 rides without changing it because it does seem to break down

If the flywheel rattles you probobly found the problem. The stator is pretty easy just those 3 bolts and pull the wires theough. You gotta bring the rubber gromet out with the wires when you pull it through the cases

Sounds like jetting. Whats your elevation, jetts and needle

Try and find someone local that will let you try out there stator. Also check your grounds and plug wire ends where they attatch to the boot. When you have hour flywheel off see if it rattles.

as your elevation increases your dome size can get smaller and cranking compression can stay the same. maybe they were up there and those 18cc domes were fine.

You dont really reserve there but im going to call in the middle of may like they said to. I will let everyone know when the time comes so stay tuned.
