  1. Well I have custom painted fullbores and I have spent so much money on them that I wouldn't take the risk. So yes I'd pull ur bars off. It's easy and free insurance u won't screw ur new paint job up
  2. These are the exact reasons I keep a known good coil, cdi, and stator around. I can throw each new part on and see what happens. And it has saved my ass more then once when I'm at the coast riding for the weekend. Wise idea I think. Sounds like too me ur stator went south
  3. well what i have always done with my banshees for checking compression is get a compression tester... which you can get from a parts store like ohhhh carquest or napa... just make sure it has the longer reach adapter... to make sure just take a plug in there and ask an older guy... not a high school girl.... to get you set up... then just screw in on the cylinder.. pull the other plug.. shut off gas... disconnect the cdi or coil -kill the spark- and hold the throttle wide open.. then kick that thing over no less then 15 times and see your reading... this method has always worked great for me.... at least this is what i remember from the last time i did it last summer ha but then thats just tells ya if the dome size you have now is in the right ball park... and not WAY off... the best way is to find ALL your specs of the bike and call a builder... if my memory serves me right id say you should be at like ohhh 22 cc domes or so if its stock and mild mild ..... JUST my guess though
  4. well dude you need all the information for you motor... 4 mil.... 7mil....???? all plays a part.... what gas you running? even the compression of the cylinders is helpful? dont want too high of compression or too low.... so you need to know what you got before jumping ahead
  5. man dude there is soooo many theories on that one.... lets see my opinion is that normal tires blow ass first off... they throw way too much sand in your face... second mohawks or that kind of tire are great for a dunner who weaves in and out... who plays alot..... then there is the smooth buff for the straight liner kinda guy who doenst need to turn a whole lot... this is my rule of thumb for choosing a front... but the normal tires on sand is for the person who cant afford anything else and if they say they are the "shit" then they are in denial.
  6. Well if i remember right.... the nut is self tightening as your shee runs so there should be no way for it too just back off correct? so if my memory is right then id say your keyway is either poor quality for keeping the key in or its worn out..... the key can be a pain in the ass to center just right when putting the flywheel on.... maybe thats the problem
  7. i run 19cc domes with 110 octane at sea level with a dune port cubs and 4mil with 68cc pistons... no problems and nice perfect burning plugs but ya it is different all over the place and so many things play a role... so ya call herr jugs racing... and support the supporting members
  8. oh i dont think thats all true... ive been to his shop a couple times and he does have buffers so he can do it.... wether or not he is good is negotiable since his polishers are the cheap ones on ebay...
  9. dang 6k is a hell of an offer.... i have a bike for sale that has way more money then you do in your looks and id kill for 6k i just want 5k....... nice offer
  10. no i have dude... a couple times actually... people on cl only look for bikes under 3k i think... i did post it last week and will agian this week interested?
  11. well.... back too the original thread....... cascade is a great place for bling and advice i think.... chris and mike both have helped me and i would say chris is my right hand man when it comes too my bike a couple times now i have called him from the dunes to diagnose my bike and he has helped more then he needed too mike posted an old bike of mine for sale in the shop and i got calls.... great guy.... either way i would give my left nut to own cascade innovations and have employees like them.... yes alfy does have some points and ive delt with him in the past... in fact he sold me a used cdi box for a low price and worked with me every shop has their niches and there will never be just ONE place that is the best at everything..... just my opinion
  12. haha ya thanks man.... i would love too keep the bike and all... in a few years ill build a new one...
  13. well its not a nos bottle, like you think anyway, which is why its not listed.... its a sweet little idea i had... and no stealin it haha any way its a aluminum water bottle that i made a bracket for and an top for that i use for the coolant overflow... hahaha then i slapped a nos sticker on the side... it scares off others hahaha... sweet rite? there is plenty of little touches that are put on this bike that makes it special....
  14. oh of course... lets see.. the typical stuff 184 psi in each cylinder too by the way... cool head with 19cc domes twister crank.... cheetah cub adjustable timing plate has r1 clutch pack installed.... has kevlar material grabs like an SOB it was the basic 4 mil cheetah cub kit that you can get for like 2500 bucks... carbs are dialed in freakin perfect for florence and winchester bay.... i do have a couple titles but havents figured out if one is for this bike or not
