I would just go up to the 300 main do a plug chop and see where your at....

Go up a size with your pilot jet see how that works out ,another thought where is your needle clipped

Is this the reason you rebuilt the top end????

I don't know how far you guys are from me but i would like to check out the coal hills sometime. I'm always up for a road trip..i live in wayne ,nj...

I'm from new jersey and of course ford finally has a ok engine.They have had many problems, o'rings on the oil coolers leaking, hard starting because they loosei their prme with the high pressure fuel inj. system,crank seals leaking,power steering pumps burning up,just to name a few..the powerstroke has come along way also but now they have to work on their tranny.also i mostly work on heavy duty trucks big rigs.straight jobs,box trucks but usually when we get a pick-up in the shop its a ford.sorry hope i didn't offend anybody .ford does have a nice gas powered truck.

Hears the bottom line comming from a diesel tech.Ford has a very nice interior but their engines are trash.Dodge has maybe/probably the best diesel engine in the business but no trans to go with it.Chevy has come a long way with the duramax,good engine with a maybe one of the best trans in the business.These trucks produce alot of torque and you need that trans.
