  1. Okay, so I floated the ground off my stator to run Mattscss LED lights, which look bad ass by the way. He is also a great guy to deal with. Anyway, none of my other shit is showing up, like my REG/REC or my battery!! I'm not to happy right now Anyway the question is, can I just ground that new wire to the frame and run my stock lights?? Thanks guys in advance.

  3. Stellar make a real nice aftermarket set of j-arms. Good luck with the build. As stated above, make it run first. Find that air leak, if there is one.
  4. All you have to do is pull the shifter lever off and then you can just use a flat head screw driver to pop out the seal. Clean the surface, coat the outside of the seal with a sealer as stated above, and tap the new one back in. I used a long 3/8 extention to tap mine back in. Just be careful not to nick the shaft or seal housing.
  5. So I ran into a problem kind of like this, and it turned out to be a bad flywheel, and a sheared woodruff key. Good luck.. Keep us posted.
  6. Just start from the ground up. Tear it down to the frame and start fresh. You will be glad you did. Take your time and do it right the first time, the cheap comes out expensive every time!! Good luck, and welcome..
  7. Thank you decon! Ill try and make since of it.
  8. We used the metal pole that is infront of the water heater in most new houses, and the front of a truck. Put a strap to the pole from the rear shock mount and a come-a-long from the hoop to the truck. It worked out just right It does make you a little nervous!! Then we just used the gaps on tank shroud and rad cover to make sure it all fit like it should.
  9. OH thats the mounting plate.. Yeah just push it back a little farther just like Motooutcastxxx said. You should be good to go.
  10. I cant tell what that is?? But there should not be anything between the brake pad and the rotor.. Is the the little metal plate the goes on the back of the pad on the piston side?? Just start over and follow the instructions. Hope you get it fixed..
  11. Okay, Thanks alot Matt. I look forward to seeing your right up, and running your lights.
  12. Okay, thanks guys. I'll send him a PM.
  13. So not much luck yet finding a walk through with the search button. Just would like to know/see the cleanest way to do it. What brand reg/rec to get, and where to mount it.. I know this has been beat to death, but please, any info would be great. I have already found the ground floating thred. Seems pretty easy. But where does that new wire go? Does the new reg come with good instructions? Where do the wires from the reg go? Thanks for your help Pretty sure i'm going to go with matts LED lights. He has been alot of help so far. Just need a few more pieces to the puzzle..
  14. Um yeah I have CPI SB!! So ill measure mine..
  15. lol yeah they are like $300!! So i'm not finding a walk through on the installation anywhere. Ill i can find is the wiring diagram, and how to float the ground, which seems pretty simple. Not going to lie, wiring is not my fave.. so any other info would be great. Sorry for all the questions.
  16. Yeah I agree about not knowing shit!! Its not an adjustable plate, well not a aftermarket one anyway. No timing marks anywhere. Just spun it to the back of the over drilled holes!! How would it run with bigger domes and still running the BB?? Oh he even used the llittle splash guards around the main jets as the gasket. So he put the guard on then the jets.. WOW.. He said K&T built it 10 years ago.
  17. So my buddy just bought a new shee. We are going through it all to clean it up. So far so good, very few issues. Anyway I'm a little confused with the set up. K&T head with 18cc domes, stock carbs, stock stroke, stock bore, stock crank.. Oh and CPI BB inframes. Stock timing plate with the holes egg shaped to advance the timimg !! It has 175 PSI in both cyl. 310 mains, 25 pilot. Plugs are black and wet. Original owner said he ran pump gas. Bought it out of Utah. Why in the hell would anyone do this?? Thanks for the input.
  18. Okay, thanks for your help. Ill look into it. Does anyone have a start to finish walk through on installing everything?? I found the ground floating thread. But doesnt show anything else. Sorry for all the ?
  19. Oh really!? That is very good to know! But I do need to buy a new reg/rec right? If so where do i get one?
  20. Thank you both for your replies.. Was hoping for more input on this. Matt I do like your lights, alot! I just dont think I want to run a battery... Is there anyway around the battery??
  21. So i'm sure this has been discussed already, but here it goes again. What are you're guys opinion of the stock replacement 35 watt halogen trail tech's?? Are they better than just tusk bulbs?? Are they worth $121.00. Any info would be great on this topic. Thanks in advance for your input. ok go!!
  22. When is this walk through going to happen?? I would love to see it. Also would like a set of these lights!! Thanks in advance Matt!!
  23. So you cant adjust it out?? Idle set the same??
  24. Holy Shit!!! Why would someone do that?? I think the shee gods should strike that guy down with bolts of lightning
