  1. Awesome buyer!! I sold him a Hinson clutch basket. I shipped it in advance of payment, told him to pay me after he received it. He paid me super fast after the tracking showed it was delivered. Thanks.
  2. How about fitting stock silencers over the outside of the Toomey silencers, just for looks?
  3. I bought a full set of stock A arms and a clutch cover from him. Very nice items, packed well, and shipped promptly. Definitely a guy you can trust for nice parts. Thanks!!!!
  4. Yep, this reminds me of the RD400 motor I converted to alky. This was before you could just go buy a set of alky carbs. I made a main jet flow tester. I put roughly double flow amount mains in it, huge pilots, and chucked the needles in my electric drill and sanded them down. I mixed up a batch of alky, poured it in and started it in my garage. Sniff, sniff, AWESOME! I'm blipping the throttle, warming it up and all of a sudden the thing starts screaming at about 6000 RPM. I hit the kill switch. Still screaming, CRAP! I gotta yank the plug wires off. I'm probably gonna get the shock of a lifetime, but I gotta save my motor. I yank the plug wires off and it's still screaming. WTF???? I'm panicking. How do I shut this thing off before it blows? In desperation, I wing the throttle, and obviously the rush of cold air cools down the plugs and it dies. I will never forget the panic and confusion of this thing screaming with no plug wires on it.
  5. Are the carb bowls switched? The one with the brass ball goes on the left.
  6. You definitely have them priced right, but as Dorothy would say, We're not in Kansas. Most people here are gonna tell you to part them out. I suggest putting them on Craigslist.
  7. Did you order a flywheel puller too? That's one of those tools that there is no other backyard/ trailside way to do it.
  8. OK so I was too lazy to type out nitrous every time. My pet peve? People who type in texting on job resumes. 4 U 2 C my... And people who have Eldebrock manifolds.
  9. Yep, that's the momentary ignition kill for the air shifter. Air pressure is moving a piston inside, closing the microswitch, and supposed to short the CDI, allowing the tranny dogs to line up and engage.
  10. 4th pic shows NOS tank on the right, and air tank on the left. Last 2 pics show NOS and fuel solenoids. No, NOS in itself isn't flammable, but spray gas under pressure, and NOS, and bad things can happen. Now if you really wanna burn things up, try running alky too lean, and too much NOS.
  11. Let me put it this way. Do you really want this between your legs?
  12. Actually, that's easy shift. Different animal. Whoever put on that air shifter is a retard. It's all held together with zip ties, and there's no wires on the ignition kill switch. I can only assume the NOS system is just as kludged up. Pull it all off before you start making scrap metal.
  13. How about this one? http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/mcy/2181390990.html Or this one? http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/mcy/2166502371.html Or this one? http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/mcy/2158817732.html
  14. If they look decent, slides are in decent shape, and are genuine Keihins, I'll buy them. Email sent.
  15. Actually atvracing.com is for sale for $35,000. Try https://www.atvracing1.com/Home_Page.php
  16. I bought a set of RZ350 shift forks and drum from chutzell. Great communications, nice pics, well packed and shipped promptly. Thanks.
  17. Make sure your gas tank vent is allowing enough air in for the amount of gas that's flowing out. Run the fuel lines into a container and open the valve. See if the fuel flow slows down after a bit. If so, then crack open the gas cap and see if it flows again.
  18. Just saw in one of your other posts that you already have Bill's pipes. Don't know anything about them, but any pipes are better than stockers. So, use the prealloted pipe money for pistons, or front sprocket, or shocks, or shift pro, or clutch springs, or billet water pump impeller, or braided stainless brake lines, or swing arm.
  19. Toomey T5 pipes V Force3 reeds Have cylinders ported, hopefully just a new set of rings, and hone. If you need new pistons and bore, you just went over budget. Cylinder base gaskets Cool head Buy flywheel puller Mod your stock timing plate for advance TORS removal K & N filters & outerwares or ladies nylons Carb jets Build a pressure tester and pressure test the motor after it's back together That's it, your $1500 is gone.
  20. J arms are getting stupidly expensive. People want $50 on ebay for arms that are bent worse than yours. I was shocked to see that new retail is $274 each. Here's a nice pair of D arms for cheap at this point, but keep in mind that if you whack something really hard with these babies, you will probably bend your frame. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_rdc=1&item=110630322930
  21. Run your finger over the back side of the J arm just outside the reinforcing gusset. (about 3" out from the bushing) If you feel ripples in the tube, the J arm is bent. It's unlikely that the frame is bent. I've seen some pretty mangled J arms, and the frame was fine. In the 4th pic, it kind of looks like what I'm talking about. In the top left corner of the pic, you see 2 shiny spots with a dark spot in between on the J arm.
