Ok. They way it was worded , it said you DID want whacked cases. Seemed strange. But I was going to say if you wanted a wicked set , I know where some are. Sent from a van down by the river

Can you post some pictures here for those of us who don't like letting our phone numbers get out into the wild. I'd be interested if I could see what's up with it. Thanks in advance Sent from a van down by the river

Of course this website is for the exchange of info. That's exactly what he got...the PROPER info that would help him the most. He's obviously in over his head. It's obvious by his question. I guess you just shouldn't try to help people do the best job they can...... Sent from a van down by the river

If i asked you where the head went on my banshee , then said I'm rebuilding the motor by myself, would you think I'd be up to the task? Sent from a van down by the river

Btw. I agree with the no bashing thing for the record. Sent from a van down by the river

The difference Radar is you know what you are doing. Haha. You know what to trench and where and how to accomplish it. The OP didn't even have a clue as to WHERE to even machine...let along how. Big difference in abilities there. Sent from a van down by the river

Something that ticks me off is guys like the OP , who start bashing the forum as " going to pot" or whatever term you what to use, because they got told the straight scoop without any suger coating. Then they talk about the free exchange of information not being like it should....well here's a idea... why don't YOU go put YOUR self proclaimed skills to the test and post the data? Like this : hey guys , in case anyone is wondering, I actually took the time and didn't expect to be spoon fed info, so I measured how much material to remove and where to remove it from, my cases. Here's the specs." See, it never happens that way with this type of guy. OP wants to be spoon fed info to save a buck. Asks for the info. Other members immediately see that such a basic question shows the OP is in over his head and suggest he let's someone qualified do it so he doesn't screw his stuff up. Instead of heading the advice of the very people he asked, butt - hurt in sues . The End. Sent from a van down by the river

The funny part is, he was actually given helpful info initially that could possibly SAVE him the cost of new cases...but since it wasn't what he wanted to hear, he got butt hurt and all his like minded cronies who also know no better jumped in too. Sent from a van down by the river

That's bull and you know it. You've already said you had tax troubles is why you were trying to save a buck. Sent from a van down by the river

Agreed. I assume the OP is a man. That being said, it blows my mind how a "man" can get so pissy when someone tells him the truth..and that truth is just toooo blunt or Frank for him and he starts whining about it. Grow up already. You were given solid advise. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean the site sucks. Sent from a van down by the river

Heim Joints from full flight replacement
sprinklerman replied to stacman450's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
The ones I mentioned don't even require that level of maintenance. They have precision clearances and are lined with PTFE so debris getting into the actual joint/wear surfaces is minimal if any. If debris can't get in..it won't wear like the typical joints people are used to. Sent from a van down by the river -

They are used extensively in baja and mud bog racing..if you ride. In harsher environments than that .... Sent from a van down by the river -

Not entirely true. Aurora or FK heims ( with the Teflon ) are as strong as any component on these bikes..probably stronger. Very well built and can take any abuse you care to dish out. Sent from a van down by the river -
Proper trenching doesn't cost much. Why cheap out on the foundation of the build? There's not a lot of meat where it's trenched. You can poke through easily and then be stuck using epoxy. Sent from a van down by the river
