  1. Call/email a builder at this point.
  2. Dang dude, you STILL going on about that?? Or should i say ma'am? Yes we all know you weren't satisfied with what went on with your HJR motor,,,what,, a year ago? Worse than my Ex-wife ^^^
  3. Really? News to me. I guess it depends what you mean by "long pulls". Don't "hill racers" run Alky? Don't 1/8 and 1/4 mile guys run Alky? How long of a pull are you wanting to do? Both of the arenas i just mentioned put tremendous load on an engine and fuel system.
  4. Anyone care to translate?
  5. Zilla,,,i dont know whats happened over the last few weeks, but there has been a GREAT influx of either trolls or just straight-up & down we-todds. Me thinks you are wasting your time. haha!
  6. Haha! I saw a guy running it one time at our riding spot and it WAS impressive! Naaawzz.
  7. Very true.^^ And im not saying its for everyone ,,and its not a "miracle fuel",,but its not as bad as LILSTVN makes it out to be. In all actuality its EASIER to tune than gas....IDK why he cant grasp that fact. I was putting it off myself to be honest...I had my self convinced it was "too much trouble"...ended up being an easy , painless switch. I had remembered it being harder to do than it was. ( I had used it in 1999 on a set of stock carbs ,on a 350cc, that i was helped to modify to Alky use). Facts are that LILSTVN popped his motor because of operator error or oversight by the user...that's not the fuels fault, its the operators. Im sure you've said the same thing to some "NEWB" who popped his motor while on gas.
  8. You're probably saying that because you popped your motor on Alky i bet?? ,,and gas ALWAYS works?? Alky is not temperamental if you start rich and gradually lean it down,,and then don't get greedy. It actually has MORE forgiveness when it comes to tuning...a much wider range where itll work good , as compared to gas. Im thinking you are just prejudiced against Alky because of a bad experience,, dont blame the fuel, blame the tuner.
  9. Meh , i disagree ^^ I haven't touched Alky in 15yrs,then threw my bike back together friday, put it on Alky and ran at a T&T Saturday. No problems,,in fact i forgot how easy it is to tune compared to Gas. Ran a 4.48 right out of the box without any tuning. Yes i had to purge at the end of the day. Took me all of 10minutes using an old coolant overflow bottle. IMO, it was a lot easier than i remember it being, running it and tuning it.
  10. Where you @ Atoka Saturday?
  11. ^ this. If people could get them 400 new, there are a BUNCH of suckers in the Classifieds getting ripped. ...On a side note Possum,,if you can get me a set for 400 new,PM me. haha
  12. ^^^ Yes, thats what i meant. I should have explained it better i guess. With Camatvs "pro mod" you can do pretty much a WOT upshift by either a blip/slip of clutch whille keeping the throttle pinned (maybe the 1st 15% of lever pull) OR you can lift the throttle about 15-20% and upshift, then fully pin it again. I think this is a great tranny for the guy that cant commit to an override for whatever reason. For a drag bike,id do what JAWS ( guy right above me) said, get Redline to cut you an over-ride. Then you dont have to clutch or lift in the slightest.
  13. Yea. Just trying to help the OP not make the same mistakes we did,eh? New PWKs are nice,,but on a stock-ish motor that 350.00 would be better spent toward a welded crank and/or other maintenance issues,,or put something with it and get it ported if you are after more power. Or how about better shocks,,all places that that 350.00 should 1st be spent before a set of carbs.
  14. I was referring to your comment " If your running stock carbs I would recommend on going with a set of PWK's. Can make a difference". On a stock-ish motor its NOT going to make a difference in power. Are they better? maybe. "make a difference"? nah
  15. I have both, so i'll speak on this comment. CamAtv's "Pro Mod" isnt the "same" as an over-ride,but it gets as close as i can imagine you getting without having to worry about backloading at all. You can either barely lift and pull up to the next gear,or you can slip the clutch a touch and click up.
  16. I know i came prepared with my GoPro and everything, but got so caught up in riding and learning a tree, that i never put it on. Will next time though.
  17. Man it was wet,,especially at the end where the return lane started. I spent all afternoon cleaning bikes. haha
  18. On his motor ( he stated unported and didnt want to port) itll make NO difference in power. Only difference it'll make is lightening his wallet . Where do you guys come up with this stuff? Do you all ride many different combos,,or just regurgitate unsubstantiated info you've heard somewhere ?
  19. Got my new seat on the day before the Atoka races. Thanks to Jeff for rushing it out so i wouldn't have to sit on the bare frame!!
  20. Stock milled head if it was mine. Unless you find a smoke'n deal on a Noss or Chariot head.
  21. Why buy your cub on Ebay?? Most of the site sponsors on here sell them for the same price and they can customize it for your needs,,,Ebay cant do that. A DECKED cub would get you closer than a STD cub,,,but might still be too much for trails IMO. Why not just buy a Serval?
  22. Cool man. It was good meeting you ,Dana and Bubba..oh yea, Bobby too! I got tired of my inframes leaking oil on my brand new motor and PC!! haha Going to OOFs.
  23. Id prefer bare, but might do chrome if in good shape.
  24. ^^^ Tuning problem. NOT pipe problem. Speaking from 1st hand experience. On a PROPERLY build stock cyl 4mm, you should have power everywhere (IF tuned right). We went from FMFs to CPIs on the exact same motor and gained everywhere,,roll-on, everywhere. But only after it was tuned properly. I even had a 280lb friend (MPD579 on here) ride it @ the BHQ/LS ride and comment on the power output.
  25. I plan on making the 150mi round trip to get a barrel of Alky. Anyone need some?
