There's no way id invest the amount of time and money into T5's that it'll take to make that work. Just my opinion though.

Sounds like you have figured out what countless people before you could not. Go for it.

99.999% sure it was operator error if you had a failure. Very rarely do pistons "just break". Something usually causes the failure .

Contact a member on here that goes by " Thack82". He can help your bike handle great! Itll be able to hit bowling ball sized rocks and you wont even feel it. He's a believer in the YFZ shock conversion too. You all will work well together on this project!

Actually the race sliding off isnt the reason SOME people suggest not running a TZ W/O straight cuts. It has nothing to do with the race...but im sure you already know that,,

^^^ same here man. I have them on a 10mm with straights and a 421 W/O straights. No problems either way.

I had a similar experience with some domes i was playing with. We had to try a different design. It also made it hard to jet if i remember right. But in my case i kept everything else the same for accuracy in testing.

^^^thats quite a different statement then what you said earlier. You started off saying that a couple builders said they were "junk"...now you are saying they said "if you have 3's ,there's no need to switch". Anybody with half a brain knows the $$$ to power gain difference reed changes provide aren't worth it....unless you need reeds anyway.

If someone asked me privately if i had personal experience with that particular builder,i would tell them,,but im not going to interject or try to squeeze my experience into a thread.....but I WILL steer them to someone i have had GOOD experiences with. If they choose to listen or ask for more info,great. If not,oh well. I also know many people have had great experiences with whom i did not,so its up to them ultimately,and it might work out well for them. I just try to steer them in the direction of those Ive had positive experiences and not recommend the bad.

Never happened. I was treated like i was an idiot ( maybe partially right) and had a "how dare you question me" attitude. Needless to say, I've moved on and found a builder who appreciates feedback (positive or criticism).. although he thinks im an idiot too.,,,but i can live with that,,must be true! haha

Honestly i have not. My issue is purely with what appears to be an attempt on your part to steer people away from someone who OBVIOUSLY made a mistake(maybe several) and in the process hurt them in the wallet ,so-to-speak. Look man, I had an incident with a builder just like you. I had them do me a turn-key, completely assembled and leakdown tested motor. Not a high dollar motor ( about 2000.00) but it was enough money. I got the motor and installed it. I felt like i should be able to do that since i had paid them to completely assemble the whole thing. I told them to replace ANYTHING that needed it. Well needless to say, the head leaked like a sieve and it wouldn't pass a leakdown. Come to find out , the head looked to have been machined with a dremel , and was so warped it had to be replaced. The rest of the motor assembly was pretty sad too. So , long story short, i feel your pain,,but dang man. Why you wanna try to ruin a guys business?? Call him up and talk to him like a man. It sucks sometimes,but at least we learn something in the process,,least thats how i tell myself to look at it.

I agree with you . Im sure any GOOD builder would appreciate feedback, like you said, positive OR negative. AND, if you have a problem and they refuse or cant help you,maybe you SHOULD voice it...but going on and on and ON,come on man, move on already. I just think its wrong to try to steer people away from them when its obvious many, many people have had GOOD dealings with them,and the incidents of making a mistake are far and few between. That shows its just some human error and not a scammer.

Who says HJR hasn't done that? All you have to go on is what "Jessum" keeps spouting off about..its been brought to light for awhile now,,,.its also been fixed, move on people.

Yea, no one is denying that he might have designed your domes wrong. Only you and him know if that was the case. My point is this : You have spoke your peace, made your point,,why do you STILL bring it up? Simply because you want to steer people AWAY from HJR,, You take ,maybe not every opportunity , but you take enough of them, to bad mouth his work.. Of course you started "slyly " doing it by not directly naming him,then you got more bold about it..now you seize almost every chance you get to bring it up. I wonder if you'd feel better if you put him out of business or put a dent in it? Is that what you want? Because it sure looks like that's what you are trying to do. You were dissatisfied , ok , we get it, but trying to take work away from a guy trying to make a living in this sport is just pretty sorry if you ask me. (If he was a known crook it'd be different) Just remember "what goes around ,comes around". Maybe someday you'll have your own business and understand. Its hard out there ,especially in this sport, and to try and run someone down may just come back and bite you in the backside when YOU'RE the one trying to make it.
