  1. And you launch in 2nd?? I'm going to try the 15/41 over pres weekend
  2. I agree- let him have it!!! Even though I'm a proud owner of a yfz450 as well as a banshee. Both serve their purpose and I can find a race all day long when i'm on the 450 at Gordon's Well , but jump on the banshee and most of the time it's 3 races and people shut down.
  3. My thought was - since I am only running the 9's I could get away w/ the 15/41.
  4. I've got a 421 drag port cub, 8 inch swinger, 9 paddle extremes, and I weigh 220. Ride only at the drags at Glamis and Gordon's Well as well the dunes to the big hills. Keep it stock 14/41 or go to 15/41 or some other combo with the 15??? Thanks
  5. This topic has probably been covered several times, but ran across this today under the banshee section on lonestar's website. If anyone has the scoop on this set up PLEASE let me know- Thanks! http://www.lsracing.com/yamaha-banshee_edge-led-atv-head-light-kit.html
  6. Oakshee or anyone else have a picture of a polished billet one installed?
  7. Couldn't have said it better myself, but let us know how the trip went.
  8. Will do Savage- THANKS for the info- just proves my drinking is under control- LOL
  9. Hey guys- just got my in-frames back from being chromed and I don't remember which stinger tube was on left and which on the right side. They seem to be bent slightly different and one has a longer straight part where it comes together w/ the pipe. I believe the longer one goes on the right side- am i correct? Next time i take something apart I'm going to keep it to a 12 pack or less- LOL
  10. I found a set through modquad- no hose clamps needed and not rubbing the frame
  11. I'm trying to find out where to purchase the mount/bracket. I don't want to use hose clamps or anything else cheesy like that. Looks like the frame is 1" diameter and my rezzis are 1-3/4" Looks like Works has them on their site, but only for a 2" rezzi
  12. I've seen some pics of banshees on here with mounts like that on my sandrail that clamp the rezi to the frame. I've searched a few places but haven't found them. Who sells these?
  13. Thanks for the info once again dajo!
  14. What ratio do you run your premix dajogejr?
  15. x2 - I've had both also and for general riding the t-5's are better
  16. Let the opinions fly!!! Everyone has a preference and depends on what type of riding you do.
  17. If you're referring back to my originaI question, I asked it because I wasn't too familiar w/ this set up before I bought it. I knew it was a popular build, but didn't know if these make low 60's or high 80's. I had a 99 with the works done by D&M here in the Phoenix area and was just curious what the difference would be since I was into 4 strokes for a while. I chose a 22" 9 paddle extreme by the way- good for a little of everything.
  18. If there wasn't any money thrown down and the guy wasn't wearing a shirt from a local shop he's probably telling the truth. You didn't mention gearing, but a lot of people drop teeth and even though they have more throttle response in the dunes, they just don't have the topend speed as stock gearing. With just the simple mods, as you mentioned, the T6's run strong. Is this boxcar hill long?
  19. Any trick to mounting the pipes so they don't rub the frame or left side of the motor?
  20. I was just going to post something asking if there was a "trick" to get these to fit right. Guess not. I've got a set of small bore in-frames that touch the frame on the bottom and are real real close to the left side of the motor. Guess I just have to live with it?
  21. Sounds like the consensus. 2 1/2 turns on the idle screw sounds about right?
  22. Thanks for the advice as that makes a ton of sense.
  23. I checked w/ the previous owner and he set them up at 155 so sounds like i'm in the right area- Thanks for the info
  24. The seller was in the Phoenix area and I am as well. It is 105 and humid right now compared to dune season, but just trying to make sure i'm in the right ball park. Thanks
  25. I just picked up an unported 4mill cub on Friday. The cylinders had the casting flaws cleaned up as well as cases matched. It has a cool head w/ 20 cc domes, vforce 3's, 35mm carbs, advanced timing +5, and running 110. I believe he said the mains were at 165 (will be riding in Glamis/Gordons) - does this sound about right? I don't recall what he said about the needle, pilot jet, or the fuel screw. I've only rode it up and down my street, but feels a little hesitant on the bottom end, only idles for a few secs, but feels real good on the top end. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Just got back in the 2 stroke game and lovin' life already!!
